Had 2, just bought myself 2 more. Was only planning on 1 more but liked the suit so much I had to buy 2 of the exact same identical suit! lol
But there's 3 sea days plus Castaway Cay day so I can justify it

I always take two. It is nice to have a back up in case something happens. You may want to take on that you would only use in the hot tub. This is because there are so many chemicals in the water that your good suit would quickly fade.

I take two as well, it sometimes takes a while for one to dry and it's nice to have the second one as a back up. :)

I always take two suits on every vacation. I rarely use the second one since I don't typically "live" at the pool but it's nice to know I have it and that I won't have to put on a cold, clammy suit if my swimming excursions are close together.

I have another piece of swimsuit advice, though. If you are going on an excursion where you'll be wearing a bathing suit, invest in a tankini (or heck, if you've got the body for it, a bikini). If you're wearing a 1-piece it is a MAJOR PAIN to completely undress if you need to go to the bathroom. I found this out the hard way in Grand Cayman where we had very short bathroom breaks. Tankinis look almost like a 1-piece with a modest bottom and a form fitting tank top. Land's End has tons of them, even for full figure gals like me :)

Have fun!

Glad I'm not the only one. :) I usually take three or four. Thankfully they're not much to pack.

I've purchased two suits for everyone (hubby & the kids) so they'll constantly have a dry/clean suit. One just doesn't cut it as it never dries in time for the next day.

Yes, a Tankini or other two piece is easier to go to the bathroom in - if you actually take the suit off/down. As a diver in high school (who had to wear Speedos which are difficult to get on/off when wet) I learned a little trick for going to the bathroom in a one piece. To put it delicately, just pull aside (and hold it aside) the part of the swim suit that is in the way. Much faster than even a bikini!

Unfortunately I cannot get myself into a tankini. Im a size 14.
I need some kind of skirt/shorts/slip built in.

I took 3. I mainly used 2, but it seemed that they took a while to dry, and we did a lot of in and out of the pools, so I used the 3rd one twice I think. DD wore each of the 3 about equally, and I don't think DS ever put the 3rd one on (although he did swim in his shorts a couple of times! DH took him to the pool, and when I met them he was wearing shorts. DH said "He said they were swim trunks :D".)

As to the tankini, etc. Land's End does have a tankini with a skirted bottom. It's new this year. I'm pretty small, but I don't like the bulges my thighs make so I like the skirted bottoms. Give it a try!

While we are on the subject-another hint. Ladies, if you hang your suit upside down to dry (from the crotch) it will be more comfortable to put on even if the top is still damp

BTW, Lands' End sells bathing suits in women's sizes...all their suits go up to 16, some 18, a few in women's. Worth taking a look, the only time I've seen tankinis in womens sizes, and I've been debating getting one. There's a lot of me to cover, I dont' want stretch marks popping out all over!

I've actually seen some really cute tankini's that had a little skirt on them. I wish I could remember where, if I do I'll let you know.

I bought their "tummy taming tankini", (Lands' End) and LOVE it. After 2 kids, there is NO WAY I thought I'd ever wear a 2 piece. As my 7 year old put it....."you don't have a pretty tummy, mommy". However, this swimsuit keeps it all under wraps!

yup....what dijid said....
as a former lakefront lifeguard who spent entire summers in a speedo, that's the only way to fly....pull the crotch to one side....nothing faster....

I usually take at least 3 suits. I don't want to have to wear a wet bathing suit.

I need extra coverage in the hip area:rolleyes: so I usually buy a suit with the shorts attached. I like the 2 piece suits that some with matching shorts instead of the bikini bottom.
