Just wanted to start a thread to see if I'm the only adult that goes weepy over characters! I'm starting my own autograph collection! Am I crazy? (I'm a 26 yr old Disney addict)

NO your not crazy. I love the characters!!! And I am a 27 year old kid. :goodvibes I didn't collect autographs last time but I am thinking it might be fun to do next time for the scrapbook. I did stand in line several times for character greetings and DH and I did several character meals. And we weren't the only adults there without kids! :goodvibes

i love the characters..my children get all the autographs but i believe that is part of the whole disney experience....

Just LOVE,LOVE, LOVE the characters..
I get all emotional over the celebration bus..and when they come out at Epcot..I talked to Chip last time we were there, have rubbed Pluto's nose, he rubbed mine back!
And told Eeyore to be careful, DH gets jealous..haha..got kisses from him..
And I'm 37! ;)

I get more excited when I spot one than my kids do sometimes!! They get the autographs, but I like taking pictures with them (so does my wife!)

It is just DH and I (age 32 & 33), and we get pictures and autographs. Every time we go we say we aren't going to do it and then BAM! The first character we see...we need to run and buy an autograph book and fat pen! LOL It is an addiction! :)

We will be there in 2 weeks and I am sure we will buy an autograph book and fat pen in our hotel gift shop when we check in.

I love the characters! I usually won't go down the character trails and stand in long lines, but I love seeing them and I will get pictures if there isn't a line. :flower:

When I went in 2003, I tried to collect as many autographs as I could for my nephews birthday, while at the same time, getting my picture taken with the characters. Had a blast doing it. As this was a solo trip, had no problem waiting in lines.

The characters are one of my favorite parts of Disney. I still get photos and autographs after all these years.

I don't do autographs, but I am in line for pictures! I throw the camera at my DH and run to the character for a hug! I told Tigger he was my favorite and got a great picture getting a Tigger-kiss! I told Pluto he was my favorite puppy and got a sloppy tongue up my face! I always get all teary and sappy around them and always try to say something to them and thank them for being so wonderful!!! :earsgirl:

Me -33, DH -45 and we always go to at least one character meal and yes we get pictures! Last year I stood in line to meet Mickey and Pluto in Toontown. I was the only on in line w/o a child andit didn't phase me one bit. :cool1:

I am 20 years old and I love, love, LOVE seeing the characters! It is one of my most favorite things to do down in Disney. I actually have the websites to my character pictures in my signiture.

I'm 32 and I like the characters too. I have never had an interest in autographs, but I like my picture taken with them. When I visited in September, I went to four charcater meals.

I love them too! I haven't washed my face since Goofy kissed me. Sigh....

My 22 DD had quite a few pictures taken of her and characters - I even got in on some of them. It was special and we both loved it.

Well, I am probably the worst offender here!! I love characters and autographs so much that I made a 150 page website dedicated just to them! :teeth: And I am in my mid-thirties, so certainly no kid! My nephew got me started on it, as meeting characters is all he wanted to do at Disney, forget the rides! I think I enjoy the "collectable" angle to it, as it is so cool to find a rare one to meet and chat with! :)

Me! I am 28 and just love getting my pictures with the characters. I do not get any autographs, but I can somehow see myself eventually getting an autograph book. I always do a character meal or 2 when I go down to WDW. And this week, I saw Santa Mickey and just had to get a picture at DCA. I think my Mom thought I was nuts at that point. In Sept, I told Pluto he was my favorite and asked if I could bring him home to be with my other Plutos. Did you know he has a tag on his collar that says that if lost to return to Mickey Mouse???? :rotfl2:

I am 34 and I love to get pics taken with the characters! It all part of the fun. Brings out the kid in all of us. In fact, every trip I make sure to get a pic of me with my favorite princess!
When I bring my 66 year old dad, he loves to have his pic taken too. And in Oct it will be DBF 1st ever trip to WDW, and he is 36 and can't wait to have his pic taken with Goofy!
I don't do the autographs though, but I did when I was little.
