Just curious....We will be checking in on a Sunday and checking out the next Sunday. I have made 7 ADRs for our trip. I'm wondering if this is too many (and too expensive!) considering that we have a full kitchen in our room (staying at BCV). On the other hand, I don't want to be cooking and cleaning on my vacation!! How many ADRs do you you usually make on your vacation?

I have our planned for our April/May trip and we will have one a day. We are on the dining plan and since we are going to CRT, we will pay for one out of pocket.

Here is where we are going:

Thurs Apr 27: WCC
Fri Apr 28: 50's Primetime (we will pay for this OOP)
Sat Apr 29: 1900 Park Fare
Sun Apr 30: Concourse Steakhouse
Mon May 1: Princess Breakfast at Norway
Tues May 2: LeCellier
Wed May 3: CRT for breakfast
Thurs May 4: LTT for dinner

Less than 180 days and counting.

I am having trouble making the same decision. I will be staying 2 nights at CR and 6 nights at OKW and do not know if I should make dinner reservations every night. It seems like it restricts time a little bit too much. What are everybody's thoughts? Any dinners or character meals that are an absolute must?

I make two per day, lunch and dinner usually, sometimes breakfast (late) and dinner.

NB

On all of our trips I make at least one ADR per day - somedays will end up with a breakfast & a dinner when we try to squeeze in more character meals. Usually if we have a huge breakfast, we just do counter service later in the day. Then the nights that we have a good dinner scheduled, we try to eat lighter earlier that day.

I like having at least one a day & I frequently end up cancelling or rescheduling things once we are actually there. You can always cancel an ADR if you decide you won't make it there, but it's also always good to have them to avoid spending your park time waiting for a table.

I can see the benefit of eating in the room with DVC, but it's a vacation for me, too & I generally don't want to cook on my vacation! :rotfl:

Next trip, we'll be on Disney property for 10 days, 28 meals (no breakfast arrival day or dinner departure day.)

We have 8 ADRs plus 2 dinner shows. I might add one or two more ADRs.

I like the kitchen for breakfast when we're not doing a big sit-down thing and for a snack-lunch when we have breakfast and dinner out. One time I thought it'd be great to save money and cook in kitchen, but found out quick that I don't want to stand up (much less cook) when I get back to hotel!

Too expensive? Probably. But if I put a nickel in a jar every time I thought of my breakfast(s) at the Crystal Palace, I'd have 'em paid for several times over. :cloud9:

we have an 11 night stay coming up. I've booked I think 15 ADR's. sometimes 2 in one day, somedays none. I'd rather have too many than not enough. You can always call and cancel!

We make one ADR per day. Sometimes bfast, or lunch. Every once in a while dinner but not usually.

I have 5 for a 10 night stay.
CP for breakfast our first day
LTT during MVMCP
GG for CP - must have ressie
YS for anniversary
CRT for breakfast on our last day

I probably will add 1 more, as we want to get into LeCellier, if I can get an opening, so far they are all booked up for lunch and dinner 12/4-12/14. We will not be on the dining plan (AP holders) but will have DDE card.

I used to do one per day but now I am doing less since my 11 year old pays full price. Also, we have been to so many of the places and now know what our favorites are. For our upcoming family trip in January with my in laws I have one for most days and two ADR's on a couple of days. They are not counter service type of folks. For our April trip of 10 days I made four, partly to save money. Also, it does kind of affect the go with the flowishness of the trips if you have too many. Also with the 180 days out thing it was hard to know what we will want to eat in six months! At least they post the hours now too, which makes the whole process a lot easier.

We make dinner ADR"s each night of our trip. And tho we always stay at OKW with complete kitchen facilities, we haven't cooked ONCE since we started staying there in 1992!!

We have 10 ADR's for our upcoming trip. We're on the dining plan, so we've planned a table service meal for all but one day of our trip.

I have made 12 ADR's for our upcoming trip. I make at least one per day, and then occasionally two (e.g., early breakfast/dinner or early lunch/late dinner). There are also quite a few counter service places that we must hit so those had to be squeezed in as well.

We're going in January for 7 nights & we have made ADRs for all 7 dinners -- each is a character meal. My kids can't wait!

We do 3 big dinner ressies and 2 character ressies for a 7 night stay. We dont' like every night to be on a schedule.

We use the dining plan and make 1 ADR per day...usually dinner. :earsgirl:

I like to make one for each evening we are there. I like knowing we have someplace to go each night

I think it really depends on your party and if you like sit down meals. Our family has small kids and we perfer something quick and away we go. Our first trip we book 1 for 5 days and that was good. Our last trip we stayed 6 days and booked 3 and that was good too for the kids. Now if we go in Feb. 06 if we go with the dining plan then we'll book alot, if no dining plan then I will book 3 again.
