How Many A&E fastpasses did they release???

Yesterday I know the A&E FP+ had an influx of passes. My week in mid May had them each day. Today, I still see they are available. I know that a few would open up now and again, but maybe the wait times for FP+ were low, so they wanted to make the wait time a certain number of minutes?

Is it common for that many new FP+'s to be released?

Yes. Many DISers, on the 20th, noted Management being in the Fp+ area and in the meet and greets. Disney doesn't release specific numbers to the public but they have specific quotas for meet and greets and the characters, attendants, and Photopass CMs all work as a team to meet that quota.
