Maybe its just me but did any of you have problems getting in touch with a wedding cordinator?? I called last Monday they said somebody would call me back took all my info, etc. I ALSO submitted my wedding profile to them. Its been a week nobody has called me back! I called again today...still nothing!!!

I am one of the biggest WDW fans there is...and my heart is set on a disney wedding ( we got engaged there, I did an internship there, plus I still do campus rep work for them) But this is really starting to annoy me...I actually called Swan and Dolphin today to get information about having the wedding there, price quotes, etc. They actually connected me to a cordinator my first phone call and SHE actually did some other research on my requests and called me BACK with price quotes!! ( all within 3 hrs)

Just wondering if anybody else has had this problem or any ideas on what to do! :guilty:

Thanks,
WDWDANCER

Not that it's an excuse, more of an explanation ... but from your sig, you're probably a bit early. They will hardly talk to you before the 1 year mark.. and even then, they won't sign a contract and commit to anything until 8 months out. The most you can do before the contract signing is choose the ceremony location and reception site.

Be persistant, and keep calling.. ask for them to assign you a sales manager. (You don't get a "coordinator" till after you sign the contract) They get a lot of inquiries, you kind of have to let them know you are really serious.

The first sales co. I spoke with didn't get back to me right away...I don't think she thought I was that serious about booking my wedding so she just didn't care to call me back. I got in touch with the manager and another sales co. called me back a minute later and was very helpful. I just turned in my contract today :)

Like the previous post said...make sure that they know that you will be booking your wedding there.

WDWDANCER- I'm not sure if this was confusing, but I figured it might have been...

The first person you'll deal with is now called a Wedding Consultant (used to be a Sales Manager). Once you have a contract signed (at the 1 year or 8 month mark depending on your locations) you'll be assigned a Wedding Planner (used to be an Event Manager).

We actually decided to go down as soon as we got engaged and look at locations (this was about a year and 4 months out), so we were assigned a WC right away when we asked to schedule an appointment. Not sure if that's possible for you, or something you're interested in doing. I would say just keep calling back. If they know you're serious, someone will get back to you.

Hope that helped and wasn't as much rambling as it seems to be :)

Thanks...thats why I have been trying so hard to get in touch with somebody. We are leaving to go down there in a week...the trip was suppose to be a planning trip. I will try getting in touch with a manager, the last guy that I talked to there was Brad he was a associate (he told me he woudl give my info to one of the planners to call me) really nice guy took my wedding date, slight background, and said somebody would be calling me back to go over things in detail set up a meeting for when I was down there, etc.

Just frusturated I guess not quite feeling the pixie dust ;)

Thanks
