How long will breakfast at Chef Mickey's take?

Hello! If I have an 8:20am breakfast reservation at Chef Mickey's, what time can I expect to be done? And as a follow up, what time could I reasonably expect to be in Epcot after leaving there?

We are eligible for FP+ selections, so I'm just trying to figure out how much time to leave ourselves!

Thank you!

Chef Mickey's is a character buffet so it depends on how long it will take you to eat and how many characters you want to interact with. A safe guess is an hour to an hour and a half, if you want to see all of the characters. If not, you could probably be in and out of there in under 45 minutes.

Taking the monorail from the Contemporary, you can get into Epcot in 15-20 minutes.

If you want to see all of the characters, it will take forever. So get comfy, cause you wont be outta there quickly. That was our experience anyway. Leave yourself plenty of time.

Just an FYI, you can't take the monorail from CR to Epcot. You have to stop at TTC and change to another monorail.

Yeah I would say at least and hour, possibly more to see all of the characters. I wouldn't expect to be in Epcot before 10:15 to 10:30. Then you'd have to walk to where you want to be in Epcot. If it were me I wouldn't schedule any FP+ in Epcot probably till 11:00 just to be on the safe side.

That's also assuming they seat your right away. Last time we were there in May, the line to get to the CM was about 20mins. Then we had to wait to get through the picture area before we were seated. We got there maybe 10mins early and was seated almost 30min after our reservation time.

I think we had an 8:45ish reservation.

If I remember correctly, monorail from TTC to Epcot requires going down the ramp and coming back up the Epcot ramp.

That's correct. You get off, go down the ramp and then get back in line for the Epcot monorail. If there's no lines and the monorails are there, it shouldn't take more than 5 to 10 mins. But if there is a line, and you have to wait for a monorail, could take longer.
