How long will bell services hold your bags? (Boardwalk)

We are staying at Boardwalk, we will be checking out for a cruise and then returning likely to another resort after the cruise.

How long will Bell Services hold luggage? If I could not take all our stuff on the cruise that would be amazing.

I believe it is just for the same day. Their bell services site https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/bell-services/ mentions "later in the day" when dropping off luggage for check in and "for the rest of the day" when checking out.

Otherwise guests would take advantage of bell services and treat it like a free owners locker. And that would actually be my suggested route to take if you have nonperishables that you want storage for for multiple days before returning to WDW. Darn. We wouldnt need an owners locker or to store perishables. I just thought if I could take 1 suitcase on the cruise instead of everything it would be nice. We will be there 6 days pre cruise and 4 days post cruise.

We sailed (with DCL) in the middle of our trip last year and were told they wouldn't hold anything at the resorts. I would probably reach out to Disney for a clear answer.

It was Nov 2023 and we stayed at BLT for a week after the cruise. I didn't ask to leave my stuff there; I just sent it over and assumed that it would be ok since I know 2 other families that have done it. Now BS at Riv knew that we were leaving there and going on a cruise. I have no idea if they said anything to anyone and I can't remember if there was any notation on the luggage tags.

If you ask ahead of time, the answer is probably no. When you drop off your bags without asking, they may be nice and not trash them when you don't show up later in the day to retrieve them... but personally I wouldn't risk it.

I think the official stance is no they will not, but you can certainly try

I would think of this situation like keeping my car in the resort parking lot while I was on the cruise….Is it allowed? Probably not - Will my car get towed? Probably not…but it would be a really tacky thing to do….BS storage, like resort parking lots, are usually jam full and they need the space for the intended purposes. It never hurts to ask, but be prepared for a No answer.

To be perfectly clear I am not trying to skate any rules or be tacky. I was asking if this is something offered. If not then it not a big deal.

I have finally reached the point that I can travel to WDW for a week with just my personal item. But I ended up needing to do a 2 Owners locker split one for summer, and I have the second one delivered with sweatshirts / jeans for winter trips.

I do not think I could pull off a cruise as that is a whole other set of dresser clothes than I use at WDW.

I’ve always needed more clothes on cruises than at WDW . Personally I’d just pack resort casual to be used at BWV, then use the 24 hour $20ish full service laundry bag on the first day of the cruise to launder my WDW wardrobe & then rewear it.

Joining the fb group for your particular cruise can be very helpful and fun!

I was able to get a cabana at Castaway Cay like this as people announced when they were dropping there's and made some friends before the trip that we met up with from different countries one night at the "club".

Also joining the fish extender groups are really fun. They have different ones like adults only, ornament, cooking recipes, etc. Kids love it, its like Christmas every day! I also buy my fish extender on Etsy, some people make them themselves, but i am not creative like that

I like to buy door magnets on Etsy to personalize our door as well. Of course buying all this stuff for everyone else means more packing!

Disney is not going to trash your stuff, I highly doubt that! The worse I can see happening is they would maybe ship it back to your house like they do with lost items

Since its a lot of stuff though I would imagine they'd contact you before doing anything, so I suggest if you did that to make sure your luggage tags have your phone number and address and you have phone reception on your cruise!
