We have sort of an unusual situation because we're having a friend perform our ceremony. Since it'll be his first (and probably only) one, he doesn't have any pre-written ceremonies like Jack Day or someone would have. I wrote our vows today (and really, really like them, by the way!), but wasn't sure if I was going about them properly.
So far, I have a background on how we met, a moment of silence for my grandfather who passed away last year, giving corsages to our mother/grandmothers, the "do you?" "I do" part, and the ring exchange. Is there anything I'm missing? And most importantly, how long were your vows? I don't want ours to end up being super long or super short...Am I shooting for fifteen minutes, even with us repeating bits of it? Longer? Shorter?
I'm having a fellow copywriter review them on Friday, and if she thinks they don't need too much work, I may get brave and post them here.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this? Thanks so much!!!
