DH (now) .......were together dating (no engagement ring) for almost 4 years and then got married in the month of June on the same date we met 4 yrs previous.

We dated for 10 months (met at Thanksgiving time, got engaged the following Labor Day weekend) and were engaged for one year. The timing was perfect for us. I enjoyed having the full year to plan the wedding, but I don't think I would have wanted to wait much longer than that.

We dated 11 months, engaged 15 months, married 7 years.

First date was March 15, 1997, engaged Oct. 15, 1998, and married Nov. 20, 1999. We were originally going to get married in June of 2000, but he was finishing his undergrad degrees in Dec. 1999 and needed to have health insurance (DH has a lot of medical issues), so we bumped it up.

A lot of people asked when the baby was due. Nope!! Just didn't see a reason to drag out the engagement. Planned a tiny <30 person wedding in Atlantic City in less than 6 months.
