How long until you are in the system?

We are overnighting our closing papers with our check tomorrow (june 6) for our resale we purchased and I was wondering how long does it take until our points show up to member services? I am hoping it happens quickly.

We are in the same boat. The closing company recieved our papers and payment on May 29'th, and I really want to make a reservation for Dec of this year, but from what I have been reading on some posts, I think that it looks like it will be to late to get anything. But the sooner I get my Owners ID the sooner that I can phone members services. I hope that it is soon.

We were pleasantly surprised by how fast we were in the Disney system after our closing of a resale with the Timeshare Store. We closed on Thursday, May 17th which was about 5 days after we returned all of the paperwork. We were in the Disney System and were given our membership number on Monday, May 21 but our points were not yet posted in the system. I called back on Tuesday, May 22 and our points were there! I made our first erservation that same day. We received our welcome packet about 3 days later.

We were extremely pleased by the process as we had been told that it would take 10 days to 2 weeks to get into the system yet we were in there after only 2 business days!!

We purchased resale at VWL, were in the system 5 days after wiring the funds. We purchased through atimeshare.

We purchased OKW resale through TTS and it took 9 days after closing.

Closing will also depend on when your sellers get their paperwork in too. I hope yours are faster than ours were. We did resale through TTS and sent in our closing papers overnight as well. Our sellers did not get their closing papers in till 14 days after TTS received ours. That day was supposed to be the final day that we were to close by.

I felt like canceling the whole thing and have them send our check back but we did close 2 days later. Our points were in the system 7 days after that.

All is great! We did an addon at AKV right away and now we will be staying at the newest DVC resort in October.

We closed on 5/31 and by 6/3 we received an email from our guide with our PIN for the dvcmember site. We did a resale thru TTS. I called then 2 days later and all was in the system.

Our sellers were fortunately, quick to turn around their paperwork for us.

Great ? I was coming here to post the same thing. I just got my closing paperwork emailed today and just got back from the bank with the check. I will stop by the post office tomorrow for Monday delivery. I have 2 trips I want to book already and come September I have an August 08 trip to book.

You guys are making me so jealous! I am still waiting to close on my 100 point BWV contract. Everything was going quick and smooth. Now the seller is sitting on their paperwork. I just want to cry. We are supposed to close by 6/14. We'll see.

That is what I was afraid of. I overnighted everything last Wed and I hope to hear back soon. I don't understand why the sellers would sit on any paperwork. Don't they want their money. Well good luck everyone!

It's very strange that so many sellers seem to have no sense of urgency about getting their property sold. It makes absolutely no sense!

I've been told that my sellers have made assurances they'll get the closing docs to the title company a month from now, which is the absolute latest allowed under the contract, rather than getting them in now and getting their money now.

What's wrong with people? Don't they understand the time value of money?? They could have the money and be earning interest on it!

If I had it to do all over, I would wait until the very last minute and send the stuff in just exactly in time. That way I could be earning interest on the money instead of having no money AND no DVC contract.

But, no, I'm always the guy getting things done as quickly as possible -- which means I'm always the guy left waiting.
