How long until closing?

We signed our papers 1st week in June. I sent the rest of my downpayment early this week. Can anyone give me an estimate of how long it might be before closing? We would like to try and get some reservations 1-2 weeks before Christmas. Thanks in advance!!

Who did you buy from? I'm confused by the signing papers and downpayment thing. If you bought from Disney, you can already make reservations - you could have made them weeks ago. If you bought resale, then ask your realtor when the closing will be (assuming that it has gone through and passed the ROFR process).

From your post, it sounds like you bought from Disney. You should have been able to make your reservations almost right away.

If you bought resale, it takes much longer. We passed ROFR on 1/30 and were not entered into the system, with our points attached, until 3/26!

Early Dec will be very tough to get. Very popular with mrmbers becasuse of the low points needed. You may need to go on the waitlist.

I think we passed ROFR on like May 18th and are still waiting on closing. I wired the money 2 weeks ago and waiting, waiting, waiting... Don't they know I am excited??? I wonder after closing how long until I am entered into the system?
