I've searched the forum, but can't find any guidelines on how long I should set aside for a table service meal. I know it depends on which meal, but is this information anywhere? We don't have any character meals planned (my youngest child is 10, and we see Disney characters whenever we want at DL with AP there). Our current ADR include:
Biergarten--lunch
Mama Melrose-dinner
Chef's de France--lunch
Restaurant Marrakesh--lunch
Tokyo Dining--dinner
Wanted but couldn't get Teppan Edo and Sci Fi Dine in.

How long should I set aside in my touring plan for these meals?

That's a difficult question to give a good answer to.
It depends on your party size, how soon you're actually seated, how busy the place is etc. etc.

If I were going to make crude guesimations, I'd say:

Biergarten--lunch
===>1 Hour -buffet - faster

Mama Melrose-dinner
===> 1 1/2 hrs

Chef's de France--lunch
===>1 1/4 hrs

Restaurant Marrakesh--lunch
===>1 1/2 hrs

Tokyo Dining--dinner
===>can't guess, never been there.

Becareful you don't try to micro-manage/plan your time so closely that it causes undue stress :)

I typically estimate at about 60-90 minutes per meal from the time you check in to the time you pay the check. This leaves some leeway for waiting and the such. Depending on where the meal is, there's travel time to consider as well (though, since yours are all in the park, that shouldn't be that bad).

Thank you. I was planning about 60-90 minutes. How good are they at keeping reservation times? If our reservation is at 6:30 is that about when we'll be seated or will it be 20 minutes later? Should we arrive sooner than our reservation or just plan on arriving on time? We have a party of 7.

Some restaurants will try to go ahead and seat you if you arrive earlier than your ADR time. Others will not. I have never had a table early at Teppan Edo. Every time I check in early there, they always say that we will be seated at our ADR time.

It also depends on how busy the restaurant is when you check in. If they aren't that busy, you may be seated quickly and early. If they are swamped, you will probably be seated after your ADR time.

buffets I set aside about an hour
regular TS more 60 if doing regular DDP and more like 90 if doing DxDDP
Signature restaurant 90-120 minutes easy

They are not too bad at keeping reservation time .We were usually seated within 5-10 minutes from our ADR except for Narcossess where we were seated 30 minutes later. They do request for guests to arrive 15 minutes before ADR time.

Allow 60-90 mins..Sometimes you may be seated early,sometimes on time and sometimes late.If Free Dining is going on or the Candlelight Processional dinner pkgs, that tends to make things run a little late, especially for the later mealtime slots
