How long to post DL tickets to Canada

Are there any Canadians out there that can tell me how long it took for the tickets to arrive in the post also do tickets (annual passes) have to be activated within 30 days of the issue or can we buy further out?
 
We got our tickets through CAA. It took about a week for them to get here.
