How long to get Member Number

We finally closed on our 150 points of BWV. Can you guys tell us how long it took before DVC had you "in the system"?

It used to be 10 - 20 days. With all of the BLT sales, and they will be DVD's priority, it might be a little longer.

We closed on Sept 16. I called MS on Sept 22 and we were in the system already. Total time from offer to in the system....33 days!

We closed 9/10 and were in the system on the 19th. We got the book like the Dreams book on the 20th in the mail but do not have cards or pin that allows us to get into dvc.com yet.

We bought our BWV resale 2/07, and it took a good 10-20 days to get into the system. Let me tell you, I was frustrated!!!

It takes more that your member number to get in?

You can call MS and they can give you the information you'll need to access the Member site.

We received our numbers when we agreed to purchase in Orlando (signed the paperwork) and our PINS were waiting for us when we got home 7 days later. We have not yet closed but have all of our information (and created our accounts online).

I'm guessing that the OP bought resale which takes longer to process than buying from DVD.

We were actually in the system really quickly. We closed on Wednesday, 9/17. After reading most of the posts I decided that I wouldn't even call MS until today. Then, Our member handbook came in the mail on Monday 9/22. I called MS Tuesday and they gave us the info to get on dvc.com.

We purchased resale and I got an email from my broker on 9/22 saying we are officially closed and to wait 7-10 days to call member services. But then today we received our DVC Member Services Book in the mail from DVC. Does this mean we are in "the system"?

I am excited to get our account set up and make my first reservation.

We supplied down payment via phone. We received our member number within four days and booked our developer pionts within four days and twenty min. Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just called MS and they already had us in the system. We closed 9/23.

Well I'm getting sooo frustrated!

We closed on 9/17 and after calling (again) this morning, we are still not in the system . 10 days since we closed today! Ugh, this is not good for someone like me.

Next time, if we do add on, I will definitely buy directly with Disney, I'm just not patient enough to go through this whole buying re-sale process....
