How long to get inquiry replies from VBRO?

I thought it was a great price. Even after taxes and the $65 cleaning fee, it comes to only $105.5 per night. It's a brand new townhouse, the first booking starts at the end of March. I'm thrilled to have found it, and my daughter is thrilled with the little private pool.
There's also no security deposit, which is a big plus too!

Thank you KTY, I'll try that link now.

Do you think I'll need to heat the pool? I like warm heated pools, but this is only a 12x12. Wouldn't the sun keep it warm enough? We'll probably spend most of the pool time at the club house one anyway. I think the novelty of the little pool will wear off when DD starts missing a slide..lol. The heating price is VERY reasonable, but I wouldn't want it too hot since we'll use it for cooling off I think.

I'm very excited, our first time renting like this. It'll sure be different than a hotel/resort.

I would get pool heat all the way through April personally, we have ours on into May most of the time. I love a nice warm 80-85 degree pool after being all tired from walking around the parks...ahh...especially if you get a cool night where it's like 65 out, nothing beats it!

Nothing beats having a splash pool, we use it 3 times a day at least...morning, mid-day, and evenings, almost every day unless it's a super long extended park day.

Sit out there in the morning drinking coffee too....hey... I'll be there in a townhome next week in fact! (3-10!) Renting one on Renshaw St, first time in this particular townhome I'll let you all know what I think / post reviews of course. (Yes I'm a rentor this time don't ask! LOL...well, easy, I'm there for a business trip and it was cheaper than a $200/night Disney hotel room!...and a lot nicer).

Our reservations are June 14-28th.... so no heat necessary?

There seems to be a descrepency with the price of the pool heat now too. In my contract agreement, it says pool heat is $20 a WEEK... which I thought rediculasly low. But in the email giving the address to send the deposit, it says pool heat is $95 a week. Big difference, but more in line with what other places charge. Since it was in the contract I know he'd probably honor it... but I think I would feel bad because it must have been an error. I think I'm leaning towards no heat anyway. Mid-late June is hot enough for such a small pool.

I really want to thank everybody for all the info here... I hope the OP doesn't feel like I hijacked the thread, and I really hope she got the responses she was looking for.

Mid to late June should absolutely not require pool heat! You want the pool to be refreshingly cool at that time of the year, I think. And I agree that the $20 a week had to have been a mistake. That's usually closer to the daily rate (although it is less for the small splash pools, and the $95 per week sounds normal).

I'm sure I'm renting the same place Anc96 and I was told pool heat was $95/wk.

I see the thread I started got hijacked. :rotfl:

Well, back to the original topic, I did finally hear back from two condo owners on Sunday and another from one more today (Monday) from listings on the windsorhillsrents website. I found a great 3 bedroom nicely furnished condo for $85 per day (no extra cleaning fees) for the end of May and early June.

I didn't get one response from the VBRO site! I can only guess that they are no longer in business, but didn't take their condos off of the web listing page???

I assumed that the people who didn't bother to respond had no availability for my dates and just were not courteous enough to reply with a "sorry we are booked for your dates". Several owners did reply that they were booked. I think you just never know, but I am still surprised that you had such a delay in getting responses- ours were very quick- some in just hours and loads within 24 hours. We used both vrbo and windsorhillsrent to make inquiries.

I did get a VBRO response today! It's a day late and a dollar too much though!
