I am thnking about cancelling and rebooking online for the stateroom credit. I called and I will have to actually cancel completely and then rebook, i am ok with this, and the fact that I might not get my pervious room as well.

But how long had it taken for those who have cancelled to get the credit back to their credit cards? What has been a typical lenght of time for a DCL credit back to you?

I know that Disney Cruise says two billing cycles, but my card is fairly reliable on the couple of days after a return. I work in customer service and we says the same two billing cycles as well, but it never takes that long.

We've ended up cancelling twice for different reasons. Both times, we've gotten our credit back within 10 days.

I think the longest we waited to have a cancelled DCL cruise deposit returned to our CC was about 7 business days.

Thanks for the replys! Have lots of credit on the card, but i hate to dip into that, so i make payments to go above the limit, then make these type of purchases :boat: . So I am hoping that it could be back on the card before my statement date, i really hate paying interest!!!!!

And my cruise price went up $200 in the four days that it took me to decide to book, so instead I booked an inside and am saving a few dollars over the cat 9. So I really want the $50 stateroom credit as I won't get to have a outside room,.

It took almost 4 weeks to get my deposit refunded to my credit card.

We had to cancel a deposit and our refund took EIGHT weeks, two full billing cycles on the card.

Oh well, knew that was what to expect, just hoping it would have been quicker.

I did not have to cancel to get the onborad credit. We just called and asked for it. There records shoed it was booked with a Disney visa.

The policy is 7 to 10 business days, with it taking one to two billing cycles to appear on your statement. The smart thing to do is to call your credit card company in a week or so to see if it's in their system.

Or course, there are the occassional glitches, but that's the standard. :D

Sometimes it depends on your TA. We booked with All Seasons Travel once and had to cancel and they didn't actually cancel it for 2 weeks after I asked them to do so (and 3 phone calls).

I canceled another reservation that I had once with DU and they called it in right away and I got my refund back after 10 days.

If you booked it yourself directly, I would think it would be 10-14 days, but there could always be some sort of problem, so it might take longer.
