I threw our name in the hat for a small BCV add on about a month ago. Much to my surprise & delight, our DVC guide called us back in about 2 hours with an available contract with a June YU.

I read through the lists and didn't see many people with an Oct use year ... that's what we have.

Does anyone know what the approximate wait time is for and add on at either of these 2 resorts with an Oct use year ?

Also ... just for my own info ... anybody have any ideas as to why Oct doesn't seem to be a very common use year ? We didn't have a choice of use years when we first bought ... did you all get to choose your use year ?

Don't think anyone can answer that for you. Though..BWV's seem to be more available..its larger than the BCV.

You should have been with me..here..last year. My UY is Sept and I watched (for a year) all the Aug and Oct's.. just fly past me!!
No...I had no choice of UY's back in '03.

We have an Oct use year, too. Just bought 150 pts at BWV that closed last month through the Timeshare store. Now we are getting on a wait list to add 150 points at VWL with an Oct use year. I hope it doesn't take until October for points to come through as I want the 2005 points to bank into 2006 use year!

Ok, This add-on-itis is getting crazy. Bought our original SSR contract 1 1/2 years ago, added on at BWV last August (which only took ~10 days) and just called our guide today to add-on another 35 BWV points, March UY.

I'll let you know when it comes through.

My guide (a new guide, Michael Cramer...very nice, very professional) said there is a total of 1080 BWV points available but none with a March use year.

I see on the Timeshare store links here that there are a total of 710 BW March UY points in sale pending status. Maybe some will be ROFR'd and we'll get our add-ons .

We added 50 points, March UY, at BWV a few weeks ago. It took only long enough for our guide to make sure enough points were left from the figures they'd been given that morning (875), and we were owners.

We called looking for 50 points at BVC (Feb. use year) Tue 4/18 (last week) and were told some were available and the guide would check. My wife called Monday to see what was going on and we were informed we have two 25 point add-ons. I checked today (4/26) and they're in our account! So less than a week? I guess it all depends on use year- and as of yet we haven't been asked to sign anything and have only put a depostit down via credit card. We'll put the whole thing on our Disney visa and use the rewards for APs!

I saw that as well but as DVC owners we can have Dec UY at 92 and this contract would add $6 MORE a point. Not sure about Mom but for me 600 extra is not worth it...

It still amazes me that DVC is cheaper than resale now

Offer $86 plus closing of appx $400 and it is cheaper than DVC. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Heck if Disney ROFR guess who would get their points off the wait list???????
