How long to add on points at sold out resort?

I finalized my VWL points tonight and had to call my guide - looks like I am #3 on the Dec UY He did say BCV points are slow to come in so I have months left to wait but heck I am happy to be THIRD.

I did hear that DVC is buying BCV contracts straight from sellers since the demand is so high.

Hopefully I ill be getting the call soon! Since I have only been waiting two months I cannot complain

Got a call from my guide this morning. Our VWL points came thru today (5/17/06). The wait was exactly 3 weeks (4/26/06). We got 40 December use year points.

I just spoke to my guide. She told me that OKW points were available through them...I THINK she said all use years but I could be wrong. I am not sure about HH, but I think they had them too.

I got off the phone with my guide because I have been waiting over three months for 60 BCV points. I called just to get an update. I was told that I may not get my points for a very long time because I live in California. I need to wait for someone who owns BCV points who has a California allotment for them to go through ROFR and then I may have a chance. My guide said there was 63 march BCV points in the bank and 265 for another use year but I don't remember which. Have you ever heard of a California allotment? I'm so sad.

Newbee question: Are the wait lists only for current DVC members or can I call Disney and be wait listed w/o owning anything (rather than going thru the resale market)

You can be put on the waitlist if you are not a member yet. But the waitlist will be for at least 150 points. Also if you do not care about use year you can specify "any" for use year and will probably increase chances of getting your points sooner.

WooHoo!!!! Just got a message from our guide - after almost 3 months our 75 pt BWV June UY add-on has come thru. Have to call him back and see if we still get the '05 points (cutting it kind of close).

I know that they call this "add-on". Do the points get added to existing membership number, or is it a separate contract?

The addon becomes a subcontract. When I view my account, my original contact is xxxxxxx.0 and the addon now shows as xxxxxx.1. The points are tracked separately (but can be used as if they are the same) and the contracts may be sold individually.
