Now, I did give them my credit card number, if I cancelled my waitlist, do they charge me the $500 - or is that just the deposit if the contract comes in.

By the way, I left a message for my guide about the cancellation, but he never called back, should I call again to speak to him in person to make sure he got my message?

They only charge the credit card when the points become available for you.

Phew! Thanks for the reply on the credit card, it was not until we made the decision to purchase the points through TTS, that I thought of this, then I began to worry! So, thank you for the quick reply.

This board is so great, I imagine the time it would have taken to chase my questions down through Disney!! So, people may not say it enough, THANK YOU, I hope someday I can repay the favor and have enough knowledge to help others too!

If it takes a year to get the points, I might have enough money saved up to buy them. I'd hate to get off the list if I will want them later, and I have no idea how long I may have to wait. This was a few years ago, and we bought resale and we had forgotten that we were still on a waitlist for VWL points. The points did come in, and DVC did have our credit card...if I remember correctly, we got the credit put on the card the same day that the charge had gone through...but I don't think there will be a problem for you if you cancel the purchase. You do have "x" number of days.

Our guide was able to tell us about how many points were ahead of us on the waitlist. We knew that there were about 300+ points ahead of us. Also, it was suggested that we accept 25 - 100 points so that perhaps the wait would be shorter. We are now waiting for 25 points.

I got on the waitlist for more 30 BWV points (Apr UY). I got the email telling me there were points available, but when I called they were gone, so now I've been on the waitlist over 3 weeks and it's killing me waiting. My guide told me I had one person in front of me. I know it doesn't sound like much, but this will put me over 600 points. But I'm still secretly waiting for CRV and then it's open season for me.

I have a question for the California DVC owners on this thread - how long is it taking for Add on's at BCV, BWV through Disney? As in the posts here it does not say where people are from who are waiting for points.

We were wondering about an add on (Yes already) but we will wait till NOV-DEC as we are already out of Vac time this year - and would like to take advantage of the Extra point add on incentive.

I know it's harder with the "waiting for California points thing" - just wondering if we should get another resale contract? (If that might be quicker)

What do you guys think?
