How long on a resale to finish

I was wanting to get a 50 point VB with an Aug use year and was wondering If I was to buy that within a week, would I be closed before Jan. 14th? I was wondering this as I would like to get a 50 point add on at BLT before it goes to 100 minimum. If that wouldnt work or not even close, I may just go with a 100-150 VWL resale.

My resale took about 45 days from offer to closing, then another 6 days for my info to be in the system so I could purchase an add on (Total of 51 days). You might get something done before Jan 14, but you would be cutting it close, assuming the same timeline as mine. There are 56 days left before Jan 14 and that includes 3 holidays which could slow things down.

I think each resale is different - and it definitely changes from company to company. We put our offer in on October 13 and closed on Monday (November 17). We worked with the Timeshare Store and everything was very smooth. As of yesterday afternoon, we are still not in the DVC system. (Just called today and we are now!!!! ) I agree with Cajun28 that it just depends - and with the holidays, things could get slowed down. I hope this at least gives you a reference.

We made an offer on 11/14. Our contract states that we should close on 1/10, but no later than 1/17 or 30 days after Disney waives ROFR.
