Now: 5-6 miles 25-30 minutes, lots of lights, one lane roads and very low speed limits.
Last Job: 40-50 minutes for the part time job and the other was 20 minutes away
Before those : 60-90++ minutes for an under 9 mile commute. Serious Gridlock!
Mine varies from day to day as I am a supply teacher. Can be anywhere from 1 minute to 40 minutes (more if the weather is bad). I much prefer the 1 minute days I cant imagine having to commute a long distance to and from each day. I can listen and teach children all day long but I do not have the patience for bad drivers lol
Me-15 min- work at a school as a secretary. Used to live down the street from the school until the neighborhood went south and didn't feel safe to live there. Days I don't feel safe to work there, but I love my job and the staff I work with.
Hubby- 2 hrs. Works as a sheriff in a county we can't afford to buy a house in.
25-35 minutes depending on the weather and what time of day it is. When it's raining/very cold or early morning I have to drive slower because of the possibility of ice or slick roads. Noon on a sunny day I can probably get there in about 20 to be honest.
About an hour each way. 10 minutes walk to the bus stop, 30-45 minutes on the bus, and a 10 minute walk to work. I can't complain, though. The 40 minutes walk each day is good for me and I can read on the bus.
