How Long is a AP voucher good for?

If I bought a AP from the member website, it would be a voucher right? Is there a time limit to trade the voucher in for the ticket? If the price for the AP goes up between getting the voucher and when we exchange it, do we have to pay the difference?

Thanks!

As of right now, the Disney policy is they do not ever expire. You could buy one, and assuming the policy does not change, use it to activate your AP 3 years from now.

You do NOT have to pay the price difference under the current policy.

Everything, of course, is subject to change at Disney's whim.

I bought a voucher in 1999 that I converted to an AP in 2006. Best of luck -- Suzanne

Thanks all.. I'm thinking about just going ahead and buying like 50 vouchers at the current price and be set for the next 25 years.

The problem would be if Disney changed their policy sometime within the next 25 years....you'd be stuck with a bunch of vouchers you're not really able to use.

I'm not sure I'd be willing to risk QUITE that much money on Disney's whim. Maybe 5 years worth (10 vouchers), but not 25.

:)

yeah.. when you put it that way :scared: . I hate to think how much i've already spent on disney tix.
Same here, as we've had PAPs for many years. Somehow it just goes down easier paying a smaller amount every year. :teeth:

Don't forget, while you are trying to beat inflation, you are also losing interest on that money.

i wish i'd "invested" in a couple of extra 10 day parkhoppers a few years ago now that ticket prices are starting to threaten $100 a day...

$100 a day?? Holy Smokes!
I guess $400 for a premium annual pass pays for itself in just four days? :wizard:

Now I may be completely wrong , but I thought I read last summer when I bought my first DVC discounted AP's that the voucher does expire after a certain time. The non discounted regular AP vouchers had no expiration .

Maybe I'm thinking of the AP vouchers you got for an add on , but I really do think it was for the DVC AP voucher because I didn't do the add on that got you the AP.

Speaking about AP's - we're buying them for the first time this year. We have three trips planned over the next year using the passes (I can't believe we're going to WDW three times in one year :) ). Anyway, one thing occurred to me - I wish DVC had a way of letting you purchase AP's and have the purchase price pro-rated over 12 months and added onto your dues or financing draft.
