How long for payment to clear bank?

I made my final payment on Friday July 20 using my debit card online. The Disney World website shows us as paid in full, the CM's show us as paid in full, but there is no sign of it clearing my bank, not even a memo hold on the funds. How long has it taken for your debit card payments to clear your bank? Put my mind at ease, I'm afraid something has gone wrong.

When I use my debit card, the transaction immediately shows up on the memo, then at midnight it goes through.

That is how it usually is with mine. My grocery debit from today is already a memo set to clear tomorrow. But there is no sign of my Disney payment. Now I'm starting to worry.

Samething happend to me it took about 24 hours with my bank

It probably depends on what time of the day on Friday you made the payment. If it was late, it wouldn't go through until the next BANKING day which would be midnight on Monday. I would have thought it would show up at least by this a.m.

I also made my final payment online and it has yet to clear my bank, all of the other payments I have made through disney took a day or two.... but this one was made on July 20, almost a week ago and still hasn't been deducted out of my checking. I just checked and it shows a zero balance due on the disney website..... if they don't want to take my money that is fine but I don't want them to take away my free dining saying it wasn't paid on time

I bought a ticket at DTD one year and it took about a month to clear, even though it was a debit card.

Disney doesn't run them as debit cards, but as credit cards. My "debit" transactions show up almost immediately, while my "credit" transactions can take a few days. Give it another two days...then worry. In banking time, it's only been two days since it processed (Monday at midnight like the previous poster said). I work at a bank.

Thanks Heather! That made me feel better. I made my payment on the 20th as well. It never showed as a memo or anything. But it still shows as paid off according to Disney. My debits from Disney in the past have taken 2 days tops. Maybe it is just some fluke for payments made friday the 20th? Anyway, I feel better knowing I'm not the only one still waiting for it to clear.

Still not out of my account this morning, usually everything that is posted from the day before is on there.....and nothing. Gas that I charged on my way home from work last night is though, and it went through as a credit card not debit Maybe we won some prize of not having to make a final payment I can always dream! call your bank and tell them you paid off a large bill. I know that when we bought like our airline tickets they processed it but were also trying to reach me to make sure it was ok to release the money. that is what could also be the hold up.

I am assuming its not something you do everyday so they may think of it as activity that should not be happening.

When we bought our airfare I called the bank told them what I was going to and it went through immediatly, good luck

When using my Wachovia check card to pay for WDW, it's takes 3 business days to post. The funds remain available until then and does not show up as a 'check card hold'. It just debits and posts at the same time a few days later.

I paid my balance on Saturday the 21st using my Wachovia check card -- it posted to my account yesterday.

No sign of my payment still this morning. I paid it with a Wachovia check card and nothing has ever taken this long to clear. The transactions I did yesterday cleared already, the gas I bought (a credit transaction)Tuesday cleared already. I just want it to clear so I'll be officially paid off!

I will call Disney first before my bank, I only ( I shouldn't say only) had $1400 left to pay off it wasn't like a $5000 transaction. I have made larger payments before without any problem. I don't get it! Also my husband is in and out of our bank all day for his job (GM for Subway) and they have never said a word to him, and I have made deposits at the window also

This question is kind of related... I called Disney last Friday to make a reservation for a resort and get tickets. I paid the $200 deposit my credit card. I checked online and my CC still has not been charged. Is it normal for your CC to not be charged until later? a week later? or has something happened and my card wasn't charged?

They took mine out friday as pending.. than tueday the money appeared back in my account.. its still there.. I would think by tomorrow they will finish the transaction.
