I have seen a large span of times online about how long it takes Disney to set up a new member (resale) account and points after closing....How long has it been taking people in general to get their account from Disney?

Recommend looking at this thread

What seems to have speed up is that accounts are created and points loaded at the same time.

It used to be days, sometimes weeks between those two steps!

Mine took WEEKS!!! Closed 10/7. Deed was recorded 10/20. Got my activation code email 11/6. Got my membership ID email 11/24 so could finally log in and book a stay.

We were told to expect about 6 weeks, right now it seems like a little under a month from watching the Closing Times thread. It looks like Disney is still working through December’s deeds, but should be close to starting deeds recorded in January in the next week hopefully!

New member here. Looks like they're crushing it. Only 17 days between recording and points showing up.

Deed recorded: Jan 6
Contract Showing on Membership (new member): Jan 23
Points in account: Jan 23

Wow; I sold 2 contracts that closed right before the new year and they still haven’t removed them from my account. You skipped the line!
