For those of you who bought resale via TTS, how long did it take you to actually receive your closing documents? I know the paperwork/emails say 15-25 days...is that how long it actually took before you received your paperwork?

I know the actual closing is also somewhat dependent upon the sellers timely response to the paperwork, but do we receive our paperwork concurrently so that I'm not the bottleneck?

Thanks...just anxious to get this over with!

Yes, it can take that long. The documents are usually sent out to both buyer and seller at the same time - if one delays their return it can negatively affect the actual closing date though.

You can always call your agent or the closing company to ask about the status of your documents, but they are normally pretty good about sending them in timely fashion.

Good luck! :)

I recently purchased via TTS. I've been keeping track of the timeline, because as my DW says - I'm anal.

Here's where we are so far:
8/27 – initial offer 2:00pm, counter offer 4:00 / accepted
8/28 – contracts e-mailed from Timeshare Store / returned / acknowledged
8/29 – Deposit sent overnight to Timeshare Closing / DVC contract sent to Disney for ROFR
8/30 –Received Open Escrow letter & Waiver Disclosure notice from Timeshare closing – returned
8/31 – 8/30 documents acknowledged
9/5 – Informed we passed ROFR
9/11 – Received closing documents from Timeshare closing
9/12 – Sent closing documents & money (overnight) to Timeshare closing
9/14 – Timeshare closing acknowledged receipt of documents / money. Sellers documents also received, but damaged in transit - will have to resend.
9/21 – Timeshare closing received sellers documents and has forwarded all transfer documents to Disney. 7 – 10 days to go.
9/25 – Received US mail from timeshare closing with signed deed.

At this point I'm waiting a few more days before I call Member services to see if they can verify we are in the system. Overall I can say that I have been very impressed with both TTS and Timeshare Closing Services. I was also blessed with motivated sellers who responded very quickly whenever it was their turn to do something. I'm at the point where I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Best wishes and pixie dust for a similar experience!

I knew there had to be someone like you on the board who kept detailed notes! :thumbsup2

We are in between passing ROFR (9/18) and waiting to receive the closing docs. It has officially been over a week since we were notified by the closing company that we passed, but I've heard nothing since. As far as I know, the sellers are motivated.

I've sent an email to the closing company to inquire about our half of the closing docs since it has been over a week with no news.

Thanks to all for your advice!
