how long for buses

This year my family will be visiting WDW for the 7th time, but as DVC members for the first time. In the past we have noticed that the bus service was not so great, ( we ate at Olivia's the first two years we went), going to OKW, leaving seemed to take almost as long. We will only have 5 days there this year but we don't want to spend most of it on the buses, or at the bus stops. Has Disney improved the bus service around OKW? Thanks

Yes - they have improved it (my opinion)!!!

I never really had a problem with the bus system (except for the squeeky brakes).

Are you staying at OKW?

Also, using Disney Transport to eat at resort hotels can be very time consuming unless you are going to (for example) the Poly via the TTC bus node or the CR via the MK bus depot

Resort dining always involved a bus to a node (such as DTD/TTC) or a Park and then a transfer to the detination resort....

Lately I believe the buses are keeping to the every 20 minute schedule, and even more frequent during peak hours in the morning. It's a nice time to meet other DVCs at the bus stops instead of a long wait!

We stayed at OKW last November and again this past August. I don't know if it was our timing or the service has improved but we didn't wait long for buses to any of the parks and coming back from the parks was the same. I thought the bus service worked just fine! Have a wonderful 5 day trip and welcome to the DIS!

We have never had much trouble with OKW buses, but this January and August they seemed to be even better. I doubt we have waited more than 10-15 minutes even when we just missed the bus.
