How long does it take to go from Point A to Point B?

We'll be staying at the Hotel Royal Plaza in Downtown Disney during the busy week preceding Easter. At what time should we plan to leave the hotel (we'll be driving our own car) in order to make it to the opening of Magic Kingdom? MK is currently scheduled to open at 8:30 that week. Also, the same question for arrival at Animal Kingdom for an 8:00 a.m. opening and MGM for a 9:00 opening...

Sorry I dont have a answer to your question, just a suggestion.
Here´s what I would do: go to mapquest.com and see to total estimated time. Then I would plan to leave the hotel 1 and 1/2 hour before the park opens plus that time.
Hope this doesn´t make your more confused...

Definitely plan to arrive early and then leave even a little earlier. You will likely get in before opening but ya never know.

MGM and AK are less time consuming than MK. For these two I would say 20 min to half an hour is more than enough time. For MK you have to park than take the tram to the boat or ferry entrance, so at least 45 min.

Hockey mom - I assume you mean to ARRIVE at MK 45 minutes ahead of time, not to leave the hotel at that point, right?
