How long does it take to get from HEA at MK back to Poly?

Is it better to wait a bit at the end or just get going? We plan to be at a dessert party to watch the fireworks and wonder if we can plan under an hour from end of fireworks to being back at Poly?

I would say if you are at the front of MK near the train station you would be first out and have no problem getting to the Poly within 20-25 minutes.
Since you will be in the thick of it at the dessert party I would say an hour back to the Poly is just about right.
Personally, if you have the energy left in you at the end of the day I would wait it out and spare myself the mass exodus.

I agree! It's the 4 and 5 year olds I'm not sure about. Then again...if it happens to be a EMH night, they might think it's fun to catch a ride before heading back.

That is what we did at Epcot for the same reason. We figured there was going to be a wait for the monorail so a wait for a ride would be better. The kids were going to get home at the same time either way. We were not planning to RD the next morning so when 1 ride turned into 3 (a hazard with this plan) it wasn't a big deal.
