How long does it take to get from Disney Springs to Magic Kingdom?

We have BBB reservations in DS at 9:15 am and plan to go to MK right after, maybe after a snack. They said the appointment will take about 2 hours and I should allot 1.5 hours for travel. That puts me there at 12:45. I want to schedule a FP to meet Rapunzel at 12:30. Any chance we will make it there within the FP window?

How are you getting there? Car, buses, taxi? If you are taking buses, it won't work. You would have to take a bus to the Contemporary and walk to MK. Even if you drive or take a taxi you still have to park at TTC and then get to MK. Iffy at best.

We're staying at CBR and were planning to take disney transportation. I assumed it would be straight forward. This is disappointing to say the least. I suppose we could uber or taxi but we will be traveling with my 4 year old and I really don't want to lug a booster seat around all day.

What tome do you think we will arrive if we use disney transportation?

I think 1.5 hours is a LONG (better safe than sorry) guess for travel time, but not entirely inaccurate.

The bus from Disney Springs to the monorail resorts is probably the longest trip the buses take, but it won't take longer than 20 minutes. But add in the waiting the potential 10-20 minutes for a bus to arrive and then getting from CBR to MK (Walking) .. then through security (who knows how long that will take) .. then walking to Princess Fairytale Hall. I would bank at least an hour (minimum) from the point you walk up to the bus stop at Disney Springs until you reach Princess Fairytale Hall if you rush it.

If the Fast Pass for Rapunzel STARTS at 12:30 .. you shouldn't have any issue getting there by the end of the window (1:30 PM)

I would continuously try to get reservations at MK. We too had reservations at DS and called/checked everyday until we were successful.

1.5 days before her birthday we were lucky and as we entered MK that morning we stopped at BBB at rope drop and they had cancellations, getting her in at 930!

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. The above quote sounds like we have to walk from CBR to MK. Why is that? I feel like I am missing something. I haven't been to disney in 20 years.

I was assuming you would take the bus from Disney Springs to the Contemporary .. where you can just walk over to MK.
(you could take the Monorail too, but that is additional waiting time).

That will be a lot faster than trying to go back to your hotel and THEN Magic Kingdom.

That makes sense. I definitely wasn't planning on going back to my hotel. I just saw CBR to MK and was confused. Thanks for clarifying. How long is the walk from Contemporary to MK?

You can Uber (they have drivers with car seats - just make sure you select UberX w/ car seat) to Contemporary and walk over. Probably cost $10. I use Uber at WDW all the time.

Sorry . .yes .. I just used the wrong acronym.
As for the walk from Contemporary to MK .. I don't know (never done it myself), but it seems like it would be just as fast (if not faster) to walk to MK then it would be to walk back into the hotel to the monorail stop .. wait for monorail and then ride over. Probably 5-10 minutes

I think the part you're missing is that there are no direct buses to the MK from Disney Springs because otherwise offsite visitors would park at DS for free and bus to the park, therefore avoiding paying a $20 parking fee (and taking up parking spots). For that reason, it's difficult to get from DS to any park. You can grab a bus to the Contemporary and walk, Poly or Grand Floridian and monorail, or walk over to Sarasota Springs Resort and bus directly from there to MK. Uber/taxi will get you to the TTC which will require a monorail or ferry ride as well. Any way you slice it, it's going to be difficult, and that's a purposeful decision on the part of Disney.

I agree. And I think we will get there early just in case my daughter has trouble deciding what dress she wants. It sounds like a bit of a pain leaving from there but I guess it is what it is. I will keep calling for an appt at MK though.
