It depends on which terminal you are flying into as VEA shuttle visits them all and then visits all the hotels.
AFAIR it was about 1 1/2 hours from the time the shuttle left the airport
We got on at Terminal 3, and the shuttle is then meant to make four other stops after that. But because it was full, it went straight off to DLP. Our hotel (Newport Bay) was the first stop when we arrived, and the journey took just 35 minutes!!!
So as you can see the times can really vary - depends where you get on, how full the bus is, and where you get off!!

Its a 10 minute ride. Beyond that add the time to the TGV station from your terminal. Terminal 2C, D , E and F are a short walk as the station is connected. Others require a bus ride.
The TGV doesn't go as frequently as the VEA. When we used the TGV in January, we got to DLP about an hour and a half after we landed. We could have managed a similar time using the VEA.
Definitely a much quicker option once you're onboard, but quite a bit more hassle IMHO.
We are arriving in Terminal 2F. We figured we want to ride the TGV since it'll be our first time (so theres the novelty aspect) and because we want to get to our room as soon as possible as we plan to take the RER back into the city.
As you're arriving at 2F, you are certainly very handy for the station - no need to bother about airport shuttles, you can just walk to it. You are also the last stop for the VEA so (supposedly) you should then go straight to DLP, without stopping at any of the other terminals.
I would check the timetables for both means of transport, make a note of them and then see which suits best when you get there. You can always take the TGV on the way home.
Took us about 45 minutes from terminal 2 to SL and a bit less on the way back. That was in Sep. We were Last pick up and first drop off on way back and had one stop at NBC on the way there.
Thanks for the valuable info, Bexx! We have the schedule for VEA and it doesnt really fit for us as we're staying at the Holiday Inn (we land at 3 PM). Is there a schedule for TGV that I can look at? I think Ive seen one before but it was a bit confusing...
The timetable is at the bottom of this page. If you have any problems figuring it out, just let me know the time and day of the week you are arriving and departing, and I'll try and work it out for you.
