How Long Does DU Take...

to return your reservation information. I put in a request on Thursday and I have yet to hear back. My husband keeps telling me to just go through AAA as it is close to home, they give you a "free" mug for sodas and it is not an on-line company. I am trying to "fight" him off. The deal was, if we didn't hear from them by Monday, we would go through AAA. I am holding my breath I will hear something soon. Don't get me wrong, I know they are busy. I am just wondeing what is the average of time for an answer?
 
Remember that there reservations staff is off on the weekends and holidays. You'll probably hear back today. I did have very slow response to a request for a WDW room from them, and sent an Email to Marla to let her know. Generally though, they'll get back within a full business day.

FYI, AAA isn't guaranteeing the soda mug thing forever, so be sure it's still offered for your days. Our AAA made me physically pick up the documents at their office, and they are 2 hours away. We didn't use them again.
 
I work with SueEllen and she has emailed me even on the weekends.. I would resent the message.. maybe their servers were down and they didn't get your email
 
Geffric, I have gotten things back on the weekends too, but not from an initial reservation request. I had to pay my deposit on a Monday that happened to be a holiday, and didn't remember until Sat that Monday was a holiday. I sent a panicked email and got an extension, but the reservation folks weren't there on the weekends.
 

I am getting married on the cruise in October and have a ton of research into pricing (although not into Dreams Unlimited). Costco is the least expensive place I have found. $918 per person for a category 10 room vs AAA of $999 per person.

Yes, your right, the emails from SueEllen were after we had initially booked and were working on other q's.. Thanks
 
I've worked with Tammy and Merrie and have always had a response from them within 24 hours.

I am sorry to hear you are waiting so long for a quote. We are trying to return quotes in 24 hours, even on the weekends, but things can happen to make it longer than that. However, 5 days is way too long.

One note - I mentioned this on the resorts board but not here - we are having some issues with AOL - specifically any client with an AOL email account is not receiving our emails that contain links. We are working with the tech folks at AOL to get this resolved but this may be the cause of a delayed quote.

We have been trying to catch these and send quotes without the links but I’m sure we are missing some.

I'm not saying that is what is happening here TinkHappy - I don’t know what your email address is from your DISboards name - but it may be one explanation.

Again, please email me and I will look into the status of your quote.

5 days, I guess the 30 days I have waited is out of the norm??? I gave up after 2 requests.
