:D Hi,
I'm not a coffee drinker and only serve it for guests. How long does a can of coffee last in the fridge before it will taste bad? I've had the open can in there for at least a couple of months. I'm having a meeting tonight and I hate to serve it and have it taste awful since I can't test it myself.

I've read that the best way to store coffee is in an airtight container at room temperature.

:D Thanks for the quick replies! Blondie, the can said to keep it in the fridge so that's why I stuck it in there :) .

Don't ask me about expiration dates :crazy2: :faint:

Hope you're feeling better today, Monkeyboy. Bet you won't want any lunch meat for awhile ;) .

I've left an opened can of coffee (covered of course) on a shelf up to the lake house in November (by then it's cold up there) and used it when I went back in April (STILL cold up there).. Tasted fine - and I'm VERY particular about my coffee!!;)

Forgot to add..if you aren't coffee drinkers in your house, in the future you might want to put the coffee in the freezer.. As long as it's covered, it will stay good indefinitely..

I was going to say that you should keep it in the freezer. I don't drink coffee, and that's where I keep the coffee that I keep around for guests. Just put it in a freezer Ziplock bag so that it doesn't take up as much space as it would in a cannister.

That comment made me think of something and gave me a chuckle.. EVERY time we're talking about something that has a very bad odor, my 5-yr-old granddaughter will say, "Does it smell as bad as old ham ????"

We're STILL trying to figure out where she smelled "old ham", but it must have been wicked because that's her standard answer for any kind of bad odor.. LOL:teeth:

I moved into my apartment 3 years ago and bought some coffee at that time. I opened the bag immediately and stored it in the fridge in an airtight tupperware container.

Every once in a while I open it and make some. It still tastes great.
