How long do you think the waiting lists will be for each resort?

We're still waiting on our December UY Boardwalk - anyone else?

We are still waiting as well. Last time I checked, about 3 weeks ago, we hadn't moved at all in the list. Honestly at this point given that there has been NO movement and I have a feeling that whatever they have reacquired is stripped of 2012 points.

I hope mine is right too. I guess we will just be getting the 2013 pts and not the 2012 pts. Oh well I would have rented the 2012 pts anyway. this waiting is really getting to me

We had been on the wait list since April for VWL with a December use year. Guide called yesterday and my 70 points are already in the system. I got last years points too. So excited.

My husband just got off the phone with our guide. We had called to see if we had moved up the wait list at all for our 25 BWV Oct. UY points and surprise, surprise......he was able to see that our points are available and we should be getting them by the end of the week! Just in time to still get 2012 points! We've been on the wait list since March 19.

We did! Got word, late August that our waitlist for 65 BWV - June use year became available. Just sent back the paperwork. We requested the waitlist in March.

Congrats! We picked up a 50-pt contract in July after waiting four months (Feb UY to coincide with our other VWL points). If you haven't already, come check out the VWL Lovers thread under DVC Resorts. It's a low-key, no drama group with truly some of the nicest people I've ever met both on and off the DIS.

I can understand that they will only hold the price for 6 months, I just don't want to lose my place on the list. I'm at a conference so I've been playing phone tag with my guide.

Just got a call....finally got my points...went on the wait list 2 days before the price increase....and no, I didn't ask how much they were because I needed them regardless of the price! September use year, so they are 2013 points.

Which resort? I spoke with my guide last week as my first wait list expired last week. He said I was still showing up on the list but he didn't know how long before they changed it. I also started another wait list so I would have to start all the way at the bottom. VGC doesn't come up often (TTS didn't have any listed in their last email) so I don't know if I will get any points at all.

I mentioned to my guide that it would be great to have another property in California and he said probably not going to happen while they are focusing on selling Aulani. That's too bad because I have points at both and consider them completely different types of vacations, maybe even attracting different types of buyers.

When we were waiting a few months back, I asked that very question about the six-month price hold and was reassured that they would honor that price if the waitlist took more than six months. Then again, I take most things most people tell me with a healthy dose of salt.

Our BCV points came through on the weekend also. We were 3 days past our 6 month waitlist date. Got them at the old price too.

We have been on he WL since Mar 11th we are waiting on 50 BCV pts with an Sept or Oct use year. And our guide (whom I called on Friday) said that we are #4 on the list their are 3 people ahead of us for an Sept use year and same with Oct . I told him I hope we get them before Nov because that is our 11month window. I then asked him if it goes after the 6 months for the old price does that mean we have to pay the new price and he goes no we have the old price locked in . I just hope we get them before Nov.

Absolutely. When we go to Hawaii there are so many islands that buying in and "having" to go to Oahu simply isn't attractive at all. If they announced one at DLR though, we would be in line.
