How long do you spend at Discovery Cove?

I am trying to plan our day at DC? Is it rare for people to be here from open to close? Are the dolphin encounters scheduled all the way to late afternoon (we would prefer to do this in the morning so assuming it is best to arrive early to get an earlier time)?

What are the food options for lunch?

Our experience:

Most people are there close to opening and stay to nearly "kick ya out" time and yes, the earlier you check in, the earlier most tend to pick their dolphin time.

Do a search and find more detailed info on lunch but I'll answer in short to say there are several (6?) selections and they were able to please two pre-teens - two PICKY pre-teens - and two adults who were pleased that the choices were NOT all fast food. While not gormet , the food was better than most SeaWorld food....
