How Long do you Keep Reading this Board AFTER a WDW Trip?

I did two WDW trips pretty close together, December 2004 and May 2005. I put in alot of time on this board before the December trip and then more time for the May trip and I kinda thought once I got home I wouldn't be spending so much time on the DIS, but I still check in here about every other day or so and still enjoy reading this board....is that unusual? Do alot of people still hang around on the Theme Park board even after the big trip is over?
I do plan on going back in 2006, probably May again, so it seems a bit pre-mature for real planning, but I'm still can't resist popping to see what's going on. Am I Disney addicted or DIS addicted???

Just because it is after one disney trip, it also means that it is before the next trip, so I never quit reading.

I know I was on these boards a lot prior to our trip in December 2000, but I can't remember if I came back to them at all after I got home. I knew then that another Disney vacation would be many years away. When my daughter surprised me early this year with the suggestion that she, her fiancee, my granddaughter and I should plan a Florida vacation for December 2005, I wasn't even sure I still had the address of this web site. However, I soon found it, and was happy to discover that I was still registered. Since I'm now in the throes of planning for our second Christmas at Disney World, I come to the boards at least several times a day - and have subscribed to a number of threads so I'll get an email every time there's a new post. I'll probably come back to post a trip report in January, but then I may drift away again until I know another Disney trip is in the offing. (That's pretty much a certainty, because we bought 7-day non-expiring passes, knowing that we'll use only 3 or 4 days this trip. We figured it was worth the relatively small difference in cost to add the extra days - and my DD and I really wanted to have an excuse to plan another trip before her daughter goes off to college in 4 years.)

Well, I've been back from our first WDW trip for a month now and I can't seem to stay away. I'm definitely Disney obsessed. I'm trying to figure out when I'll be able to make our second trip. When I saw the free MYW dining, it took me awhile to accept the fact that there is no way I can take another trip this year. I kept trying to think of ways we could make it work, but it's too much money and I don't have any vacation time left.

Since I can't go again this year, I'm getting my disney fix by reading the DIS boards and trying to figure out if we'll be able to make a trip early next year.

My thoughts exactly! ::yes::

I found the boards after my last trip in Dec '03, and havent stopped reading. Im back in December this year, and I get excited just reading about all the stuff I missed out on last time I was there.

It also helps that everyone is real friendly, not like some of the other boards I have used in the past!!

DIS ROCKS!!!!! :earsboy:

ITA, Life is a Perpetual state of WDW readiness.... During my 2 year WDW break, I took a bit of a break from the DIS, but that's about it......

Check email then the DIS every morning my family thinks I,m nuts but I've got the info. :rotfl2:

Found the DIS boards in February 2000....9 months prior to our first-ever WDW family trip. Lived through two major board crashes and haven't been off since!!! Love these boards!!!! :Pinkbounc  :cheer2:

[WOO HOO!!!! I JUST HIT 1,000 POSTS!!!!!]

We always have a trip on the horizon so I never stop reading completely, however if I'm 6 months out from the next trip (as I am now) I don't spend much time at the DIS. The closer the trip gets the more time I spend online.

We got back from our last trip 7 months, 2 weeks and 3 days ago and I try to stop by The DIS at least once a day. I like to keep up on what's happening at my favorite place in the world. And I love to read the trip reports.

We aren't going back until October 2006 and I'm sure as our trip gets closer .... we leave in 16 months and 6 days ;) .... I'll visit The DIS more and more.

Ummmm . . . .

(Clearing throat) . . . . I read the boards every day.

(Maybe I need a 12 Step Program for my problem???)

If you find a 12 step program share, I'm up to twice a day sometimes 3/4 times. :rolleyes1

Ahem...well then..I apparently need that program too :earboy2: I'm here every single day.

I just can't get enough...heeeeelp

I don't make my first trip until Oct. but I can't imagine not stopping by here everyday just to see what everyone else is doing. I love reading all the trip reportsl, it's just enough to get the adrenaline moving. Besides, it's like family here. I can't imagine not checking in at least once a day to check on everyone! :flower: :grouphug:

we read every day next best thing to been at wdw :flower:

I'm hopelessly hooked. Our last trip was 6 months ago, Our next one two years away, and I can't stop reading the boards. Its pathetic.

Ok, I feel bad now, I said in my original OP that I still visit here "every other day or so" but that's a lie...I didn't want to admit it, but since you guys were honest, I'll admit it, ...... (clears throat) ... I read the boards every day too.
Nice to know I'm not alone! LOL!
