How long did it take you to check in your last WDW stay?

Last time we checked in was on jan 2 at 1:30 am. we had been staying off site, got back to hotel, found door open. called disney, got a room, packed up and left. paid for 1 night. we had been there the night before. will never stay off site again.

it took us somewhere between 15-30 mins last time, but mainly 'cause the cm printed out little reminder notes for each of our ps' and we were on hold waiting for disney dine to cancel a pirate cruise ressie...

I voted my last trip results. Value resort- less than 15 minutes, on a Fri. eve.

However, the trip before that was to CBR. Stood in line over 1 1/2 hours. NOT FUN.

The longest check-ins by far were at CBR, and Cont. But I blame our arrival time, rather than the resort. Sat around noon

The best have been Pop, and CSR- Very very short, both places, every time.

yes, the AKL concierge is an unbelievable check in. The bellboy takes you straight to your room from your car!!....
Then you check in at the concierge lounge at your convenience.

Also the check in at the GF concierge was very good. We were escorted from our car to the concierge desk, where we were quickly checked in.

I can't remember what it was like at the BC and YC concierge check ins

WL concierge was the least nice checkin of the concierges.

I'm assuming that OP means checking in and getting into your room, not just 'checking in' and then being told to call later about your room number. So, I voted for 15-30 minutes at a deluxe. We waited about 25 minutes last Aug to get into our room at the CR. And that was with them getting ready for Hurricane Charley that day!! All other stays at non-DVC resorts I have been able to get into my room within minutes of checking in. At DVC resort stays, I've checked in very quickly but had to wait hours to get my room. Always had to wait until the 'official' check-in time with DVC.

With the exception of one stay at CBR years ago which seemed to take FOREVER, check-in has never taken us more than 15 minutes at either a moderate or a deluxe. Even when there seem to be long lines, the lines move swiftly.

Let's see, last stay we arrived at WL at 2:30AM due to plane delays. Walked right up to the counter. The CM smiled and said, "Taylor, party of 3?" I nodded and he had us checked in and on our way to our room in less than 5 minutes. That was a CM I could've kissed for making what had been a rough night so much better. Of course it helps when you're the last ones to check in to the hotel for that night.

Deluxe over 30 minutes. CM could not locate the preferred area that we wanted to be in. She had us wait to accomodate our preference!

Seven previous trips, all deluxe, non-concierge and we never waited more than fifteen minutes to check in. These trips were to the Polynesian and the Beach Club.

We mostly travel in the slow season and usually spend less than 15 minutes.
There was a time years ago(proably in the late 80's) where we waited about 45-50 minutes at the Poly.

One and only one time it took 3 hours to check in......

stayed at BW-power went out. people were stuck in monorail. they could check no one in..had to to it by paper...

was horrible day

Did you get a good room? I always wondered what was left at Disney, say after midnight. I wonder if you get the worst or more likely to be upgraded.

Our most recent stay was the AKL in April. We also had flight problems and arrived about 1:30 in AM. We had called and let them know we were going to be late, and were checked in very quickly. The only bummer was the computer system being updated and being unable to buy park passes until 8 AM for the kids, so we weren't able to fully take advantage of early entry the next day. I guess most folks would've slept in after arriving so late, but we're a little nuts

Don't know if we got a "good room" but it was awesome to me! The "moonlight" on the savannah was beautiful. I don't know which trail we were on, but we didn't have zebras on our savannah, which I guess isn't the most desirable for most. We didn't miss them...and we even got our connecting rooms.

Last 2 visits were less than 15 minutes at CSR.

Arrived at CBR this past Jan 1st around 12:30pm. Took less than 10 minutes to check in, room was ready also. Then went over to luggage service and waited there for about 20 minutes for someone to take us to our room in one of their vans. All in all, we were very pleased with the checkin process.

Took just under 30 minutes to check in to CBR on Sunday May 8; long line, but a lot of CMs working, too. The thing that surprised me was how we got to our room. The last time I'd been there, 15 years ago, we got a ride in a Bell Services van with our luggage. This time, however, we were told to take the Internal Shuttle bus to our room -- we had no luggage because we used DME, and they said they needed to reserve their Bell Services vans for guests with luggage to transport to their rooms. I was surprised. If I hadn't been with my in-laws we would have just walked and enjoyed the tour, but that wasn't an option for our in-laws, so we waited at the Custom House about 15 minutes for an Internal Shuttle.
