I keep hearing horror stories about check in so I am starting a little poll here about how long it ACTUALLY takes..... I know the percentages won't be correct since it takes all 12 of them into consideration but it will still show the # of hits for each catagory.

Click on what type of hotel you stayed in your last visit and approx time it took to finish checking in.

Thanks all!!!!

my last four visits check in was pretty quick (not longer than 15-20 min), now if the room was ready, that is another question. we had to wait until 3:30 :guilty: for our last room, although we did arrive at 9:30 in the am. :teeth: But they did take our luggage and we went to DTD and ate and walked around (that is what we do anyway on day 1)

I walked up to the line at 11:30 am. Hubby was parking. By the time he walked up to me I was at the counter. Total time in line ...perhaps 8 minutes. Time at the counter 5 minutes and was given a card to call later for my room number. Very painless......... I have waited longer at the post office......

I usually go DVC, so I checked off deluxe at less than 15 minutes! I normally stay at the WLV and arrive around 9:30 to 10 am. I don't remember ever waiting in a line of more than 2-3 people. The longest line I've ever waited in was at CBR in Jan for the marathon. It was about 25 mintues. Other than that one time, its usually 15 mintues or less anywhere I stay. I am wondering if its b/c I check in so early??

Check in at CBR took about 20 min, which wasn't bad at all considering there was a line. This was at 1:00. However, we didn't get our room until 5:30. We kept calling to find out if the room was ready. During that stay our room was never cleaned before 5:00. Probably why we received out room late too.

Late flight, 6 ish Thursday night before marathon one hour in line and i'm alone and handicapped with a cane. It was h*ll. I will *NEVER* do that again. Some Dad, behind me in line was YELLING at the lead cast members across the lobby to come wait on the customers.

Walked into WL last month around 10am, walked right upto smiling CM at desk, she quickly pulled us up, told us about our upgrade, showed us the map, handed us keys, and we were done. MAYBE there 10 minutes, but I doubt even that long. And our room was ready at that!

Last year, we checked into Pop and again, walked right up and checked in within 10 minutes. Got there in the early evening, around 6pm. Piece of cake.

The only place I've stood in a long line to check in was in Vegas =) Never in Disney, at least not yet!

We did a split stay. At CR it was about 7:30 am - no one else was in line so it took 10 minutes tops. At YC it was about 10 pm. There was one CM working and the people she was talking to were prepared to argue all night over an $11 charge that they didn't think should be on their bill. After about 10 minutes (and after asking several other CMs walking by) someone else came out and checked us in. Took about 8 minutes.

here's one for you. we got to the BC last thursday night. we didn't check in until late - after we had already had some fun. We got our keys and went to our room. they had checked us in to an already dirty room! there were dirty washcloths ... used water bottles... bed pulled back. and of course it had been the room as far away as you can get on the 4th floor! so we didn't want to walk our 2 yr old and 4 yr old all the way back as that takes FOREVER so they had to sit and wait -- ICK!
so our check in took a little longer than usual ;)

Maybe I am in the minority, but it has never taken me longer than 15 minutes EVER to check in. Usually about ten minutes. This has been the case at value, moderates, deluxe, and concierge. Obviously, with AKL's setup check in is completely painless for concierge, but even regular check in there was very quick. We usually check in about 10:30 am-11am. I have checked into CBR about 1 am and that was probably the longest time for check in, but I still think it was under 15 minutes. Now, getting to my room afterwards took over a half hour wait for someone to drive us to the general vicinity of our room, then we winged it from there.

We went the first week in December last year and we arrived about 2:30pm. It took us about 20 minutes from when we walked in to the ASMo to when we had our keys. I had requested the Toy Story Bldg. so the CM got on the phone to check if there were any rooms available it took him about 8 minutes checking back and forth. So I guess if there wasn't a line it would have taken about 10 minutes.

Took us 35 minutes to check in at CSR in April. There was only one person in front of us in line. It wasn't the line that was the problem. I was the CM. It took him three times to understand we didn't have a car! Still he insisted on folding the parking pass for us which took him 5 minutes to do!

This looks good - keep it up!! I love how all 3 resorts have more quick then not.

I voted for Value since concierge wasn't listed. Both were very fast even Pop and we had a CM in training check us in. This was in March too.

Me too. I have never experienced a long wait even if there was a longer line.

I was checking in at CBR in May on a Saturday morning about 9:45, and it was very crowded. My heart sunk as I was to meet a Diser at MGM around 10. I know I was running late getting there, but to my surprise I only waited about 5 mins in line, and I was checked in by 10 :cool1: My room wasn't ready, so I just booked it over to MGM as fast as I could.

Hmm, so far Moderates have the best check in times. Do they have more check in counters I wonder??
