How long can we leave our car at a resort

We currently have ADRs at Cape May for the day that we want to return to MK and watch the evening parade and fireworks. Our ADRs are at 5 pm. Can we leave our car there and then take the bus to MK or is that too long?
The other option would be to switch our dining reservations (although still trying to do that somebody said wait 45s out and they are easier to get) and try to get one at either the Contemporary, the Floridian or Poly and then leave the car there and take monorail in. Again how long can we leave our car there? Thanks

The general rule is that guests visiting a resort for dining are entitled to three hours of resort parking.

If you are planning on heading to a park, you should either choose valet or park at one of the parks; parking at the resorts is intended for guests of the resort, not for theme park parking.

With the exception of the contemporary and poly, we leave the car and go to the resorts all the time, provided I have add there.

I have never been given a 3 hour pass. Ever.

I just switched my ADR from Cape May to Crystal Palace. I had Crystal Palace booked for lunch a different day and was able to switch that one around. I am really surprised at the ADRs that are open and those that are not open right now.

You should arrive roughly when your activity (such as a meal) at the resort would start and drive away when you leave a resort you are not staying at.

For long (more than 3 hours) activities at a resort such as weddings, see the concierge or parking lot guard to get instructions, which can differ from day to day.

For activities in several locations, either park at a theme park (or your own resort) and ride the bus, or drive to each and every activity.

For your own resort you may leave your car in the lot there until the end of your activities for check out day. This might be as late as 4 the next morning if a park had extra magic hours running really late and you take the bus back. Except in a campsite, no one may sleep in the car before, during, or after your stay.

Officially? Self-Parking at resorts for park access is not permitted. If you want to explore a resort, or eat there, and then leave the car while you go to a park? You should plan on paying to valet park it...then there will be no issues.
Parking at resorts, self-parking anyway, is for those who are paying to stay at that resort, or those who are eating/exploring the resort.
Parking lots for each park are provided for those going to parks.

I would exercise this option. You can leave your car parked at the TTC this way (assuming you're driving to the TTC earlier). Just monorail to CR and then walk back, or ride the resort boats or monorail to/from Poly or GF. I'd recommend the resort boat TO Poly or GF (fewer stops and it's a nice ride) and the monorail back FROM Poly or GF.
