I've come to the conclusion that if you actually say those words, something somewhere in the universe decides that it's going to add a few hrs to the time it's going to take you to complete the job.
Tonight what should've been an hr. task turned into a really dirty and nasty 5 hr job.

Maybe I'll say them the next time we're on vacation or doing something fun.

Has anyone else had to eat those words?

I think my house (and my car) is a swirling vortex in the fabric of time or something.... Any time we try to do any kind of repair or even put in a new appliance, it always takes at LEAST 4 times longer than we thought it would.... No joke. It took us about 4 hours to get our washer and dryer into their space (Might have been faster if they were just sitting side-by-side, but they sit in what used to be a pantry, I think.)
