How long before this attitude from Disney devalues DVC.

Yes some of the nickel and diming but mostly the quality and maintenance of the parks. That rust bucket monorail is a joke. Lack of maintenance in the parks. Poor quality rides.

They probably will have trouble replacing them since monorails are considered an amusement park ride and no companies see a need to provide them. Seattle hasn't been able to procure new monorail cars for a system that opened in 1962. No one makes them.

What did Florida get since Cars Land Opened in CA? A whole lot. Just off the top of my head and in no particular order:

Pandora
Toy Story Land
SWGE (both)
Skyliner
New Fantasy Land
EPCOT Makeover (in progress)
M&M RR
Remy
Tron (coming someday)
Guardians
Starcruiser
Riviera
Space 220
Connections
Countless restaurant, room and hotel makeovers and additions
etc. etc.

It's amazing how the billions poured into the FL parks just gets ignored so we can all complain...

So why so many more complaints in Florida than in California?

They probably will have trouble replacing them since monorails are considered an amusement park ride and no companies see a need to provide them. Seattle hasn't been able to procure new monorail cars for a system that opened in 1962. No one makes them.

There are a few companies in Canada that still make them, Canadian company Bombardier had the previous contracts

Because of all the other cuts like: Magical Express, free Magic Bands, entertainment like GF Orchestra, street performers, mousekeeping, EMH, not being able to pre book rides, shorter park hours, smaller food portions, increased ticket prices, higher crowds, worse experience, waking up before 7am every day, having to be on my phone all the time, and a few other reasons, including no Tables In Wonderland..............

Then add the horrible Genie+ that works ok in DL but not at all in WDW because there isn't enough capacity and is 4 different parks as opposed to 2 and has some MAJOR flaws and people are angry

And a few of those complaints are slowing being resolved. We are just in a perfect storm since the pandemic and the followup revenge travel.

Hence my point that they take the Florida guests for granite knowing they will taking a beating and keep showing up. No way they could ever get away with that in California.

We’ve been DVC members for over 15 years. Since the pandemic (or should I say Chapek) prices have sky rocketed, guest magic is gone and down time for the rides have increased. Genie+ and lightening lane in my opinion are just a joke and way for them to pocket more money. I’ve mentioned the great disappoint with my DVC rep and stated how we will not be visiting or spending our money at Disney. His response was that we could resell back our 5 contracts. I flat out told them I would never resell to Disney because we bought into them at such a low price that they would resell at twice we paid and they would just make more money. I’d rent my points out before I ever gave them more.

It also depends on where you go looking. DISboards is WDW-centric. If Laughingplace is still a thing (is that still a thing?) I bet their boards are similarly on fire.
