How long before Mickey's Christmas Party tickets sell out?

I'm undecided on going to the party. I'm wondering if anybody knows about how long before they start selling out? I'm not really into parades and floats. I would probably take advantage of going on the rides during the first parade. What is really making me want to go is knowing the crowds can't be a level 10 like they have been at Magic Kingdom in Nov/Dec in the past which made our time there hard to enjoy, especially getting out of the park after fireworks. I am unsure as to just what crowds will be like though. From what I've read it seems like it could still be pretty crowded and they are selling more and more tickets. My hope is that they will be more like a level 4/5/6. Anyways, how long do you think I have to make a decision for the Friday Nov 18th party? Also, is there still a mad rush to get out of the park after the party fireworks? Or is it a little calmer and more sane than most normal fireworks days (in season) ?That's another thing I'm really hoping for, that with the second parade scheduled later after the fireworks that the usual after fireworks craziness won't happen so much.

Rides will feel uncrowded (2/3 crowd level?).

Main Street and special character meets will feel like a 9/10 crowd day.

We took a fairly last-minute trip in '11 and I was able to get tickets 30 days out.

Some dates, especially the first dates of the party and near the holiday it's for tend to sell out first and long before the dates they happen.

I've picked up party tickets the morning of, I think most dates will be sold out by the time the party happens so it's something you want to decide the night before and morning of at the very latest and you should be ok with tickets.. Also watch the disney website and blogs, if it's a week where things are sellnig out a couple days early you'll know to adjust when you need to purchase. Weather is a good reason why they sell out sooner. Disney has been known to give free tickets to the next party if rain impacted families and they asked as well as people just buying more tickets hoping the next party while they are there to attend might be better weather. This is when things start to sell out sooner but it'll be the day or 2 before the party it happens.

As far as crowds.. There is generally 2 types of crowds that happen at a party. Some nights it will be a crowd that wants to do everything special for that party so stage shows, parade, fireworks, characters that are out and do very few rides. those nights it feels very very crowded but most rides have almost no line. Then there is the ride crowd where MK feels empty becausee everyone is in queue and ride lines will all be pretty long. Most nights it's somewhere in the middle but not always..

Now one thing I have noticed is MK tends to be smaller than the party crowded the rest of the day so if your a morning person that is only looking for rides, you might find rope drop to party start to actually be better for rides. again it's 50/50 as crowds are unpredictable.

I bought our tickets two weeks ago for November 15- the CM told me they were over 80% sold for that day and that week!

I don't believe that.

A few years ago I was making changes to our resort reservation and they asked me if I was going to the party. She said parties were selling out already. I asked which ones. She said all she could tell me was which ones still had tickets left. Then she listed off every party scheduled that week. Nothing had sold out.

I have my tickets for 11/18 already. Back in 2014 we went to MVMCP on the Thursday before Thanksgiving and it wasn't too crowded but a friend of mine went on the following day (Friday) and she said it was sold out. Since there are no parties scheduled for the week of Thanksgiving it seems like quite a few people start their vacation on Friday so they can make it to that party. We were hoping to go on Thursday again this year but they are not offering a party that night, MK closes at 4pm for a private celebration.

I would normally think so but free dining starts on the 15th and some schools have off the 13th- making for a long Veterans Day weekend! In 2013 we were at an early MNSSHP- it wasn't sold out- found out later- it was soooo crowded! This was very expensive so I hope I will have a good plan and that the CM was wrong!
