Another curiosity question...

We will probably tend to go Sunday thru Thursday night, 5 nights DVC, plus the first and last night at another WDW resort for 7 nights total.

A couple short 2 or 3 nights trips might slip in here and there for a quick fix. ;)

Most trips we go a week. 7 or 8 nights. But we have done a couple weekends at 2 nights each.

Because of our work schedules, we can only take one good vacation a year - so we use all our points at once. We stayed 10 nites in a BCV studio this year, and plan on 8 nites in a BCV one bedroom next January.

Our master plan is four nights at VB, followed by eight nights at VWL. Our last trip we actually sandwiched VB between AKL and VWL, and we really liked that. That may be our future master plan, but we will stick with 12 nights total.

We usually do 2 trips a year! One for 7 nights and one for 9 nights!

We usually go for at least 10 nights.

We visit every other year:( , but we stay for 10 to 12 nights.

DVC trips are usually 6 nights - Saturday to Friday or Sunday to Saturday, so only 1 weekend night for points. Sometimes I pay cash for the weekend night to save points.

The last 6 trips have been 9 to 13 nights. But come 2005, we will only be able to go for 6 nights. My daughter is starting school. Oh, how I will miss these great trips.:(

We generally do 8 - 10 nights. This year (excluding 2 travel nights) we are staying 12 nights 8 disney and 4 universal.

:cool2:

Trip 1 (January ): 4 nights BWV, 4 nights VB
Trip 2 (March, spring break): 6 nights BWV
Trip 3 (June): 6 nights BWV, 4 nights VB

We generally stay at DVC for 7 nights but do 9 night trips. We normally do Universal for one of the weekends to take advantage of the front of line access.

The last 3 years, we've done a 7 day cruise, followed by a 5 days at vero and a week at WDW. This year we're breaking things apart a bit.

I voted for 6-7 nights, but occasionally we stay leave on Saturday and return the next Sunday. Gotta get as much in as I can.

All of my trips are 10 days or more.I stay at a different resort and then check in to my DVC room.My last trip I stayed at the Coranodo Springs resort and this trip im staying at the French Quarter.I stay at the HRH also in Universal. Here is my July trip.
2 nights fench Quarter
4 nights Hard Rock
4 nights Polynesian concierge
I might still add a night on the front of the trip
Last Dec I stayed
3 nights Wilderness Lodge Villas- Studio
7 nights Beach Club Villas- 2 Bedroom Villa
I want to stay as long as i can.

We take one trip each year, but we stay 2-3 weeks at a time. My family gets alot of use out of our AP's by booking 2 years worth of trips just inside of 1 year. Then we start the cycle all over again the 3rd year.

The reasons this works for us is:

1. The kids are homeschooled, so we can take trips as long as our points allow during the low point seasons.

2. I am a stay-at-home Mom, so the kids and I can travel whenever. My husband does not stay the whole length of our trips due to his job, but he is able to use his AP about 3.5 weeks before it expires.

3. We save money on travel by not having to pay airfare or hotel and gas expenses to drive multiple times/year.

To get this to work I have to do some major point crunching, so we don't run out of points. There is only 335pts for us to use/year. I also sometimes HAVE to pay cash for one weekend during a trip, so there is enough points to cover the rest. We prefer to spend most of our time in a 1 bedroom, but we will use a studio if the amount points left forces us to.

We visit from Australia and try to stay 3 to 3.5 weeks at Christmas. We are BWV owners and it will our 7 th trip to WDW this year :D :D

We like to do two week long trips (7 nights) and a slightly shorter (5 night) trip each year. We also do a DI conference or AP code trip that is four nights.
