How long are you allowed to park at a resort for ADR?

Yacht & Beach Club lots frequently have signs up that the lots are full except for guests of those resorts. So you can’t even park there for an ADR at those times. The Boardwalk lot gets just as full. Many times you have to park in the overflow lot across the road. You could also park at Disney Studios and walk or boat to Boardwalk. They you could take the boat or Skyliner back to Studios when you leave Epcot.

And what - people cancel their reservations? It’s ludicrous to not allow parking at the hotel where you are eating and have a documented reservation. That is silly.

Re parking for 3-4 hours - there is an infinitesimal chance they would tow you. And it would make going to Remy much easier. I would personally feel fine doing it.

Not that it’s the arbiter of anything - bloggers are constantly doing this. I saw a video this morning where someone waitlisted for Top of the World - then going to the park - that is WAY more sketchy.

We eat onsite multiple times a month and the only signs I've seen is that parking is reserved for hotel guests and those with dining reservations. Never seen a sign stating that those with dining can't park there, even on super crowded days like Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. I simply can't imagine it happens - what in the world would Disney do with all those folks with Christmas dinner reservations??

This parking argument comes around every few months and it always plays out the same way. Bottom line: only person's opinion that matters is the guard at the gate. For the record, my reservation info is rarely confirmed when we pull up to a gate - we are just waved in once we tell them where we're headed (happened last week, in fact). Occasionally they check my Magicband, esp at Contemporary. No timeframe mentioned. No tow signs are posted. It's not near as hardcore as so many mention is to be in my experience :confused3 The gate attendants are across the board kind, friendly, welcoming, and helpful - just as I expect all CM's to be.

So I was considering reserving Trattoria al Forno on Boardwalk for breakfast one morning before rope dropping Remy from the international gateway. I know I'd have to show the ADR to park there, but would there be any repercussion to being parked for 3-4 hours? We weren't planning on staying at Epcot all day or anything, but I wasn't sure how to know if doing this would be okay.
They say 3 hours......but Disney does not roam the parking lots looking for cars to tow. That is just bad business.

When I eat a full meal at any resort hotel and drive, I have no issues going to the park from there. In 30+ years....never had I been towed or ticketed.

Now before I get flamed, I absolutely agree you should not do this if not eating at that resort.

The guard may treat you differently on different days depending on how crowded they expect the lot to get.

The correct way to drive and spend the day anywhere in the world is to drive to each individual place you going to eat, shop, see a show, etc. Now, Disney does let you park once in a theme park lot and use Disney transportation during that day. Disney CMs killing everyone with kindness and smiling faces would be nice but it does not help things out when parking lots get full and more people with activities at that place or venue have to be turned away.

I am surprised that Disney spent millions of dollars on Magic Bands but did not include parking control in the system.
