How long are all the decorations up?

Anyone know how long the decorations are up for? My family will be traveling. Without me, sadly due to work. But they won't get to Disney until Jan. 01st. I wasn't sure if they keep them up for a few days into January.

I know the Osbourne lights are up until the 6th. I would think the MK decorations should be up at least until then. Hope this helps. =)

I asked this question last year and was told they take them down pretty early. I never found an exact date though.

It's often a fluid thing.

It can depend on guest-level and weather conditions.
Even published dates are subject to last-minute changes.

That's why it doesn't really help to compare dates from previous years.

From what I've read they can be there one day and down the next.

I think you can count on Osbourne lights until the 6th as that's been a widely published date. We moved our trip up from the 7th to the 6th to catch them.

Our plan is to arrive early on the 6th. On the 5th I'm going to find out what is still out there (via helpful Disers hopefully) and we're going to 'hit' those parks/ resorts first on the 6th. I know things might disappear over night but we're going to catch what we can.

According to a disney pdf, the Osborne lights are up until the 6th and the castle lights are supposed to run through the 8th. The resort decorations I think will be up until the park decorations come down. We will be there from the 2nd-11th so we should get our share of Christmas decorations.
