How long after passing ROFR and what's the process?

Hi all,

I think I'll be hearing about ROFR any day now, and I'm pretty sure I'll pass. We were thinking that we'd be able to use the points for a May trip as long as we were willing to take anything they had available. After reading posts about how long the closing took, though, I'm not so sure, and I realized that I really don't know the process.

Can any of you share how long it took after ROFR to be in the system and what the process was?

Thanks so much!

Don't remember exactly how long it took after ROFR and when they wanted my $$. I first called on 1/11 and on 2/14 they wanted the rest of my $$. I believe around a week or week and a half later I received a welcome packet in the mail from DVC. I called and they gave me my membership number and I made my ressie. Still haven't seen any deeds or membership cards in the mail, but have heard they take awhile.

jnrtt, I received confirmation that Disney passed the ROFR on our offer Jan28 and they said closing should be in a couple of weeks. So hopefully I'm mentally preparing for the Mar18th.

I can't wait.

Curious... what is ROFR... it's not in the official DisAbbreviation list.

ROFR is "Right of First Refusal" Disney has the right to buy back any contract sold at resale for the same terms and condidtions agreed to by the buyer and the seller. Check out Beca's thread on the DVC community board for more info.
