How likely is it that we will see Ariel? (Akerhaus)

I have a question about Akerhaus for dinner. I made all my ADRs on Memorial Day, which was 180 days out. I opted not to do Akerhaus because the food did not sound good to me. So I booked LeCellier (for lunch, very excited). Well. last night it hit me. My kids have never been to this, they (at least the younger 2) would love it, so I woke up early this morning (funny that it is Labor Day) and made a ressie just for me and the younger two for dinner. We will pay for one less expensive meal OOP to go to this, (lunch at 50'sPT) so fine, it won't cost us that much. Here is why I decided to do it. My baby LOVES Ariel. Her middle name is Arielle (we spelled it different, I don't know why we did that) and her first name is that of one of Ariel's sisters. She loves to tell everyone that she is named after Ariel. I know she would love to see her in her ballgown. It just hit me, she will be almost 9 on our next visit, and being that I have a 9 year old, I know she would like it, but not love it the way she would this trip. They grow up so darn fast, I feel like I have to do this or I will regret it. So, even if I don't like it that much, I think it will be worth it.
Finally My question... (I tend to ramble)
I know you arn't guaranteed princessees, but how likely is it that Ariel will be there? I did dinner even though I would have prefered breakfast because it looks like she is only hit or miss at breakfast (and we will be at LeCellier at lunch). Anyone know? I'd hate to do this if there is only a slim chance of seeing Ariel.
Also, I do know about seeing her in her Grotto, we do that, but I thought she would enjoy seeing both...

My families first trip was in January 08, and she was there then. We saw her at her grotto in MK the day before, and she actually remembered my DD. I would expect with the new DVD release she would be more available than usual. I suspect your chances are pretty good.

She was the "greeting Princess" there when we went last Sept.

We went in June for dinner and Ariel (with legs :) ) was there. BTW, everyone in our family really enjoyed our meal there. Was one of our better meals of the trip.

Hope you have a great time!:)

We were there in January for dinner and she was there and stopped at our table twice. My son was 2 at the time and was the only boy there so he got a lot of attention:cool1: We really enjoyed the food too the app. buffet wasn't great but the entrees were really great.

We were just there 2 weeks ago (along with Fay) and we did lunch. We did it for my DD4, not for the food. We surprisingly the food was good, I had soup (seafood chowder) and a grilled salmon sandwich, my DD had pizza and DH had a children's plate made for an adult of grilled chicken and they mashed the potatoes for him . . . our server Frederick was wonderful. They had a buffet with veggies and fruit. DD filled up on fruit too. Our greeting princess was Belle and Ariel, Jasmine, Aurora, and Cinderella visited us.

We were expecting the food to be horrible, but it surprised us. They were accomodating. Good luck.

Thanks eveyone for letting me know. I will go with an open mind, but nice to know that at the very least I can fill up on fruits and veggies, my favorites. The kids want the Mickey ravoili, they know that. I just figured it was the last chance to take young enough kids here, so I might as well go for it. Hubby decided e didn't want to miss it so he is added to the reservation.
DD13 is going to go eat in the World Showcase with grandma and grandpa. Again, thanks... and I think PP is right with the new movie that will probably make her more likely to appear.

We've done this character meal 4 times in the last 2 1/2 years - twice for dinner and twice for lunch. Ariel has been there all 4 times. We have never seen Mulan there, but she is right next door in China! My daughter even dressed as Mulan for the meal one time and then we walked next door and had a very nice visit with Mulan and got some great pictures! We've always seen Cinderella, Belle is usually the greeter (even though it was Ariel once), Aurora, Ariel, Jamine, Snow White (once), Alice and we've even seen Pocahontas there.
