How late do the hotel buses run to DTD?

I'm wondering how late the buses run from the DW hotels to Downtown Disney. We have quite a few ADR's for dinner at various DW hotels. Since we don't eat that early, we will be finished with dinner quite late. I just want to make sure we won't have a problem getting back to DTD after dinner.

TIA

Ths buses run approx 90mi/2 hrs after the last closing time. Ex. AK closes at 5:00 the last bus FROM there to somewhere else is 6:30. Same goes for DD. You should have no problem getting back to your DD Hotel from a Disney resort or vice versa :earsgirl:

I took a bus Friday night from the Contemporary TO Downtown Disney at about 11:30 pm.

So does this mean that on EMH evening that the buses stop 2 hrs when the EMH get over?? Or?

The last bus that leaves DTD to the resorts is about 2am.

Actually it's about 2:30am, but they tend to group stragglers onto only one or two buses, so you might have a bit of a ride. I can be rather comical at that hour though...

A little OT, but I need to know how early the buses run to DTD from the resorts. My DH has a conference in one of the DTD hotels, and he'd like to be able to catch a bus there instead of driving. I'm thinking it's around 9 a.m. or so, but I need for him to be there by 8 a.m. so I don't have to take him there (and wake up kids). Do the buses run to DTD that early?

I'm not even sure what time they start running there, but depending on which hotel his conference is at, he's got up to a full mile or more walk from DTD to some of the DTD hotels.

Can't he use the car and you and the kids can use WDW transportation, which in general is easier to get around WDW with?

It's at the Grosvenor, and we don't want to stay there due to the horrible reviews that it receives. I do all of the driving when we visit Orlando. I know, sounds strange, but he really would rather let me do the driving as he gets turned around so easily (and you know how men are with directions ;) ). He would much rather just take the bus and walk over to the Grosvenor, then catch up with us later when he's finished. The other alternative would be to stay at the Wyndham, and I think it's very overpriced for the quality of the rooms there.

I seem to recall that the buses start running to DTD at 11am.

An alternative is for him to take a taxi to the Grosvenor, or you can priceline a DTD hotel. We just came back from the weekend at the Hilton at DTD. DH pricelined it for $65/night. That might be a thought.

The Hilton is very nice, and IMHO worth up to about $150 per night.

Thanks for your help.

I'm asking this because we did this last December and stayed offsite in a condo. I had to get up early and take him to the conference every morning, then drive back to get kids up and fed, then off to the parks. I felt that if we stayed onsite, it would be easier for him to catch the bus to DTD and then just walk over to the Grosvenor. It looks like that's not going to work though.

I'll look into Priceline for a room there. We stayed 2 nights at the Wyndham last year via Priceline, and for the room we received, it was barely worth what we paid. I'll research bidding for that area again. I really wouldn't mind staying somewhere in DTD that's nice, but my GS loves the bedtime stories that play on the resort TV system at night.

FWIW, I just called Disney, and the first bus runs to DTD at 9 a.m. That won't be early enough for us, so if we stay on property I'll just have to drive him over.

Sorry for hijacking this thread. I just thought since we were discussing the hours of the DTD buses, I could find out my info as well. So it's on to Plan B for me...
