How late can you apply code?

I have a reservation for January 27-31 at the Contermporary. I have been fervently checking my email and mailbox hoping to receive a code. I have also signed my mother up for the DVD and the Disney website (she is going on this trip with me). If I received the code, or my mother did and we switched the reservation to her name, ( I booked room only, so I can cancel my reservation 5 days before the trip) how close to our trip could we get a code and still apply it?

Why not call and see whether or not there's a code attached to either of your names on Disney's computer?

At least you would know and could solidify your plans.

I imagine you could apply it right up until the time you arrived.
