We are soooo excited that we have booked a 7 night cruise on the Wonder June 17, 2006  :Pinkbounc :cheer2: but I am a little worried about the sleeping arrangements. Does anyone know how long the pull out sleeper sofa's are? TIA

The sofa bed is not your typical pull out sofa....I don't know how to describe it, but I am sure someone else will...but it does not pull out with a rolled up mattress.....it is different and holds a full sized adult comfortably.

It is the same length as the sofa. The "pull out" works more like a futon, and the room steward makes it all up for you in the evenings while you are at dinner.

It has a handle and is more of a "flip over" that has mattress...an average size adult could sleep on it no problem :)

if he's 6' it would be more comfortable than an average couch... more like futon.. he should be ok..maybe pushing it a little, but he should be ok.

Wow, thanks for the quick info. Hummm - my teenage son (by that time) would probably not be described as "average size." He will be around 6' (hopefully not taller LOL) by the time of the cruise. Do you still think he'll fit?

I love the sofa bed, slept like a baby on it!!!! I am short, but plus sized, and it was perfect for me. I would say no more then 5'8" on the sofa. I am going solo for my next trip and may still use the sofa, I tried the regular bed didn't like it as much!

I am 6'3" and 250 pounds, and I slept like a baby last Thanksgiving on the one in our cabin. Just don't ask WHY I had to sleep on the couch.....

:rotfl2: Being a DW myself, I can only imagine.

My DS is 6'2" and he slept really well on it too. It's not as small as you think it might be.

I am 5'5" and when I layed down flat on the couch bed I had about 2 inches until my feet were at the end so unless they lay in a fetal position or with their feet off the end a 6 foot tall person would hang off of it.

I'm 6'2" and 350 pounds, and I sleep like a rock on it, I like it better then the bed, don't know why, just did.

DS18 slept on the couch/futon and he's 6'. Had a definite problem with his feet hanging over, though. He didn't care. He came in at 2:00 a.m. and would have slept anywhere. :goodvibes Also, just FYI, the pull-down bunk isn't very long either. DS13 had his feet hanging over, too. It was a lovely sight to wake up to two pair of feet hanging over the ends of their beds. :rotfl2:

DS was 6' at the time of the cruise and fit fine. He's 6' 3" now and would fit.

My DH is 5' 11'' and a large man. He slept fine on the sofa bed.

But I have a question ... you said you are going on a 7 night cruise on the Wonder in 2006. Is the Wonder going to start doing 7 night cruises? Or did you mean the Magic.

Thanks,
Diane
