Looking at the hours for the Fantasmic shows, I am curious as to how it is possible to have a show for 10:30 if the park closes at 10:00?

That being the case, what would be the latest time to go to the park to, perhaps take part in that particular show time?

Thanks, we are doing the Disney Dance!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce:

It depends...if you're not using the Fantasmic dinner package for seating, I'm nearly positive they recommend getting to the theater around an hour and a half before showtime. The theater opens two hours prior to the show. I've been there twice when it filled up and they were turning people away AND it was standing room only, and both were filled (other than the dinner package seating) an hour prior to showtime, good seats having been gone since about the 90 minute mark. One of these times the park was nearly empty, so I'm guessing it fills up every night, or at least close. If I were you, I wouldn't cut it any closer than about 2 hours before the show arriving to the park, then allow yourself 30 minutes to wander over there, get snacks (from Starring Rolls bakery perhaps? YUMMY!), use the facilities, and grab a seat. Once up there, you guys can save seats while people go to the bathroom, but they can't leave the theater at all, or risk getting shut out, regardless of seats being saved. That way, you get there 90 minutes before, definitely get a seat, and don't have to worry about it. Of course, ALL seats are good seats in this theater, but I still prefer the sections towards the center. Sorry for the rambling!

Doesn't the first Fantasmic show start at 9:00? If you were to try to get a seat for the 10:30 show an hour and a half before showtime, you'd surely irritate the people whose laps you had to sit on! I've read here that the second show rarely fills up, but I'd like to know the logistics, too. Anyone? Buehler?

hehe Now nobody mentioned that there were two shows that night, although common sense should've told me. Yep, that'd be right, the show lasts 25 minutes, and allow some time for it to empty. I'm going to bed now sounds like I need it! Sorry for the confusion! :Pinkbounc

By the time the second show is ready for seating, every ride is closed and so basically everyone is lined up, ready to go in for the second showing. Therefore, you need to get in line early as seats will fill up quickly.

I don't know if they schedule Fantasmic like this all the time, but they did during the time we were staying there last Christmas. As soon as the 9 show is over they start seating for the 10:30 show. By 10 you basically have a choice of going to Fantasmic or leaving the park.

It is really neat to leave the park after the show when it's dark and empty! I don't know what the crowd levels are like now, but during the last 2 weeks of December we saw the later show several times, got great seats and rarely got to the stadium more than 30 minutes before it started! They were doing 3 shows many nights, but the parks were packed so I'm not sure that explains why it was so easy to get good seats.
